Chapter 14
#33828's POV
Alan and the other Walkers left for battle yesterday, and they're still not back yet, although a war is usually longer than a day. I am out of the medical room, but still a patient for two more weeks.
I looked down at my white hoodie, and thought about how much I missed Alan. And Viivi. And the Walkers.
I decided to leave the sleeping quarters and go for a walk. As soon as I stood up, I heard Siri mumble something from inside my pocket. And then I heard someone shouting from in my pocket. Alan.
"Forgetting something, Walker Number Three Three Eight Two Eight? Your mask. Put it on."
Oh yeah. Whoops. I forgot. I blushed and looked around for my mask.
How did Siri record that without asking me? She was probably just stalking me again, and might've misheard.
I heard another recording start.
"ALWAYS REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR MASK, MISS WALKER THREE THREE EIGHT TWO EIGHT!!"
"Okay okay, wow, Alan. Sorry I forgot. I'll wear my mask, don't worry," I muttered.
I finally found my mask in my backpack that was empty when I brought it here. It now had my new mask, my old mask, my hoodie and the Almighty potat, my potato-son-pet in it.
I put the mask on my face and adjusted it to cover what it needed to cover - my nose and mouth. I took in a deep breath. It was so nice to be able to breathe again. Even if I AM breathing through a mask.
I looked up to the ceiling.
"Thank you, Alan Walker, for saving my life," I said to nobody in particular. "I miss you.""I'm right here!" Siri exclaimed from my pocket. I rolled my eyes.
I made sure my mask was on. It was. I just forgot. I'm terrible at remembering stuff.
So I left the sleeping quarters and walked around the main hall, while thinking to myself.
So, my lungs are still damaged, but I can breathe with them now. Good.
Alan Walker, THE Alan Walker, my idol, risked his life to save me from a toxic gas, and took off his mask - the one that he wore everywhere - and put it over my mouth and nose in order to save me, and then he gave it to me and told me to wear it everywhere I go for the rest of my life? So I'm wearing his mask right now? AWESOME!!!
Fiona was right. I feel like the luckiest human on the planet.
Life is good ma bros.
^ umm Imma shut up now. Then it hit me. No, literally. The wall hit me. It walked in front of me like that tree did. Ouch. That wall must be made of metal or something.
I rubbed my head (where it hurt most), and when I looked at the ground, I noticed that there was a small puddle of blood. I looked at my hand. It was covered in blood.
I ran to the sleeping quarters, up the stairs, through the cafeteria to the medical room. And I fell to the ground.
Then I heard Siri. "Video calling Alan Walker." I don't have his phone number... did he call me..? He doesn't have my phone number either... hmm.
In that last second of consciousness, I heard a voice that sounded like it was coming through a speaker. "Hey-oh my god. Stay with us, #33828. You're safe. I will be there in a second."
Then everything went black.
