"Hi, I'm Carol, short for Carolina, and that's Flora. Jennifer Moore. Welcome to Judaculla Residence Hall, room number 327. We are your new roommates. Sorry, you are our new roommate."
A blond haired says, embracing me into a warm, welcoming hug as I step into my residence room. A wave of fresh air hits me instantly, followed closely by a wave of nostalgia, might I add. Everything seems out of place here, especially the fact that I have two roommates and not one. I take a sharp breath, letting my mind access my new "home". It looks barely enough to sustain a single person, yet alone three!! Talk about uncomfortable.
"We aren't supposed to be three. We are supposed to be two. TWO!!!" I scream, panicking. "What if the air becomes so tight that we all suffocate to death. Death!!!" I ball my hands into fists, my skin turning pale at the thought of death. "C'mon, I can't die. There's only so much I've not done with my life. I've not...I've not even had my first kiss" The last part of my panic speech comes out as a whisper, mostly because I'm way too ashamed of my 'little' confession. Carolina chuckles, visibly baffled by my outburst.
"We aren't supposed to be three really, but we could all manage" she jumps up with so much enthusiasm that I almost fear for the ground beneath us, and then she clasps her palms together, grinning like a child. In more ways than one, she reminds me of Mona. "The more the merrier. Come to my bed, I could give you a make over". I wonder if there's something wrong with my look. Seriously, I took out a whole lot of time to put on this appearance. And that's saying something.
"You've. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me Caro. No amount of make over could change her. Seriously, look at her." I tilt my head towards the owner of the rude comment, ready to show her what I'm made of, and an almost perfect lady stares right back at me. Almost perfect, her only flaw being her out_of_the_world attitude. She must be Flora. At least Lauren had given me a heads up on what she was like. She took her sweet time to stroll towards me, giving me just enough time to stare her over and notice all the good things she had that I was very likely to lack till the end of my entire miserable life, and then she walked all around me like a lioness monitoring it's prey. Lioness. That was what she was.
"Are you an actress?" She asks so calmly that I almost don't hear her.
"What?"
"Are you an actress?!!!" This time, her voice comes out as a roar. She really does intimidate me, even her stares alone make me quiver.
"No..no I'm not an actress" I stutter. I stare over at Carolina, and notice that even she seems more intimidated than I am.
"Oh. That's a shocker. You look like you just stepped out of a horror movie" And with that, she strolls casually out of our presence, not bothering to shut the door behind her. She was one heck of a badass.
