Matt
"Where's the nerd?" Mark asked, flunking himself on my bed, which I'd just laid, might I add. I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me he was referring to Jennifer Moore. My heart lurched at the thought of her, and I knew she for one did not deserve how I'd treated her. I didn't mean to act that way, I only needed to warn her. Jenna Moore could never be my type, because I was too bad for her innocent soul.
"Where are the guys?" I ask, averting the question, which I clearly didn't have an answer to. I'd expected she'd return to her lodge.
"We all went our separate ways. To our various rooms"
"Mark, my room isn't 'your separate way', do you realize that?"
"I'm crashing here tonight man. A bunch of angry girls are very likely to come after me with a rope and a sack"
I laugh. He really does need to set his life straight again. I hate to believe I'd changed him, but it's true. Now, he beats me at my own game.
"Who's on your list tomorrow?" He asks, tearing his shirt right off his body and letting the buttons fly about my room, which I'd just cleaned up, might I add. I can swear that shirt was brand new, and definitely cost a fortune.
"Scarlet Johnson. That girl from England" I say casually, picking up each and every stray button I find on the floor.
"She's not pretty. I'd give her a six"
"Who's on your list?" I ask, disposing the buttons into a trash can, where they belong. I'd long given up hope on trying to get Mark to keep stuff arranged and in order. He was a walking pig.
"Flora Grey" he says proudly.
"Ever heard of the story behind Flora Grey?"
"Yes" he doesn't seem to get where I'm heading at, and he keeps grinning, like a dork, might I add.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" I slow my words down, waiting patiently for him to catch on
"No, dad. I don't have a girlfriend" Mark is definitely not a complete dullard, but he's a close call.
"Flora Grey doesn't bang guys without girlfriends" I point straight out, watching as realization flashes through his eyes. It vanishes almost immediately.
"Well, she definitely can't resist all these" he says, gesturing towards himself.
"Your crazy, Mark"
