Jenna

"This shouldn't have happened" he says, shoving me roughly away, long before I can access what has just happened. He didn't even give me a second or two to savour the sweetness of his mouth. I'm hurt, visibly hurt, and he can see it too.
"Why shouldn't it have happened? Am I too ugly for you?" I snap, before I can stop myself. He picks up my notepad and begins to scroll through it, as if I've said nothing. I wait for his reply, and minutes go by in silence, but it never comes.
"So, what exactly do you want your application to be about?" He says, breaking the intimidating silence, and I blink back in shock.
"Wh..what?"
"I said what exactly do you want your app-"
"We can't ignore what has just happened Matt" I say, cutting him shut. He stares at me for a while, his tongue tied. But then his expression turns red in anger, and I can't get what he's so angry about. He wasn't the one shoved right after a kiss.
"Nothing happened, Jennifer." He says calmly, returning his gaze to my notepad.
"We just kissed, Matt Miller. Are you suffering from anaemia, I need to know"
"It's just a kiss"
"It's not just a-"
"I SAID IT'S JUST A KISS!!" He shouts, slamming his fists against a wooden box I hadn't noticed was beside him all this while.
"Get a hold of yourself Jenna. People kiss all the time"
"Well, for some people it's their first kiss" I say, my voice shaky, my eyes teary and my legs weak. Stupid body languages. He's expression is shocked, and he really does look remorseful. He must be such a great actor. I pick up my laptop, which has been on my lap all along, and then catch sight of my notepad in his palms. "I need that" I say flatly "I'm leaving".
" Jenn, I'm sorry" he starts, running his fingers through his hair.
"It's just-"
"I need my notepad, Matt. Now." Without another attempt of an apology, he hands it over, and I walk briskly out of his presence, knowing my eyes are about to fail me.
