JENNA

"It's six Matt. SIX!!!" I practically scream, letting out a frustrated breath. I knew Matt wasn't so good at calculus, but I never expected him to be this bad.
"Do you have cookies?" He asks, making his way to my fridge.
"Two hours Matt. Two hours and we haven't made any progress".
" Whoa. You have so much cookies." He says, finally snapping towards my direction. His eyes sparkle, and he clasps his palms together. Like a child.
"Mind if I have all of these? Please don't say 'no'". I sigh, watching him crossly. I'd been coaching him for two hours, and all I'd gained was an almost empty fridge, all I had left being those cookies sent by Mona
" Whatever. Carol and Flora would be here any second now" I say, adjusting the lens of my eyeglass.
"Carol? Can't say I dig that chic" Matt says, and I think he forgets for a split second that I'm the one he's talking to. He probably thinks it's one of his guys. I try pushing my luck either way.
"Well, I think I clearly understand Carol" I say "understand" because for some reason I despise the word "dig". " The person I don't understand is Flora Grey. She's mean and miserable " I continue, subconsciously balling my hands into fists as I recall my sour encounter with her.
"I think the real villain here is Carolina Dallas"
"Carol?!!" I cough out ",that girl wouldn't even hurt a fly at gun point. She'd practically sacrifice her life for those flies that perch around a garbage truck" Matt laughs at the extent of my exaggeration, and then he grows silent.
"I guess you have to look a lot deeper to see what's right before you" he says solemnly.
"Hey Jenna, Flora's flight got delayed. Could you pick her up?" Carol says, startling me. I wonder when she got into our room, but then I realize she's talking from the other side of the door. "By the way, I lost my key. Could you get the door for me?" Subconsciously I stare up at Matt, and he seems to be typing furiously on his phone.
"Yeah, sure" I say, easily stretching out and yanking the door open.
"Thanks. I.." Her face twitches into a wide grin at the sight of Matt. "Hey, Matt. Good to see you've set things right with Jenna" she says, winking gleefully at me. I recall the scene at the restroom. She'd been so...not Carol-like. And now she seemed so happy seeing Matt and I together. Maybe I looked more and saw less. Maybe Matt was right.
"I'm really sorry for how I acted this morning. I must have scared you off. I'm never like that, it's just Jones actions had gotten me all worked up this morning" she says sympathetically, reading my thoughts. Well, Matt  definitely had wrong instincts about her.
"Thanks Carol. In fact, I think you really gave me some good piece of advice".
