Matt
"For a second Matt, I thought you had bailed on me. How stupid is that?" Scarlet Johnson laughed, squeezing my thighs lightly. I could be anywhere but in a car alone with Scarlet, but I was a man of my word. She'd texted me several times at Jenna's room, reminding me of our "big night", and I'd promised I'd pick her up in a bid to get her off my back. And here I was. Great.
" Very stupid " I replied dryly, hoping she'd notice my lack of enthusiasm. She grew quiet for a while, and I tuned up the volume of my car radio, hoping to stretch her silence even longer. It didn't work.
"I love this song Matt. You and I have so much in common"
"Yeah,I'm sure we do" I don't mean to sound rude, but I really can't help feeling disgusted by her presence.
"Isn't that Jenna? I always knew she was a street whore. Seriously, who roams around...."
"Where?" I ask a bit too gingerly, slamming my foot on the brakes of my car and putting it to an abrupt stop.
"What was that about Matt?" I shrug, squinting my eyes in the dark to spot Jenna, and I catch sight of her within seconds. From the distance I find her kicking hard against a tree. I start my car again, heading steadily towards her direction.
"You can't be serious Matt. We are on a date. Do you realize that?. What do you see in that girl anyway?"
"Nothing" I reply almost immediately, slowing down as I approach a crazy looking Jenna Moore. "It's just that if anything happens to her, I'm gonna get a capital F in maths. She's my coach."
"I could help you in calculus babe. I could help you with anything." The urgency and desperation in her voice almost makes me puke.
"Hey. Jenna" I call out, and I hear Scarlet huff .
"Matt. Is that you?" She asks, and then I notice a pair of broken glasses on the floor.
