The Team, League, and Roy were all around the computer in the mountain, searching for any evidence on Wally.
"Bats, its been a little over a week and you've still got nothing?" Flash asked, pacing back and forth. His cowl was down and his fingers were combing through his hair in a nervous gesture."Flash, I'm trying t-"
"No, you're not! I guarantee if it was Robin missing you would have found him within a day! My kid is out there somewhere traumatized Batman! He's been through things no kid should ever go through! And you're telling me you have nothing!?"Everyone stood in shocked silence, not believing that The Flash just yelled at The Batman.
"Flash we both know that Kid Flash is like a son to me as much as Robin is. But you need to calm down. Yelling is not going to help find Wally. Now Barry I suggest you go home and rest. We all know you haven't slept or ate properly since he's went missing."Flash glanced around and noticed everyone looking at him with caution or concern.
He sighs dejectedly, "Bats.. I-I can't. I need something. Anything..."
Batman turns towards the computer. Typing a few things, before a view of the alleyway appeared."I was able to find a working camera in the area pointing towards that alley," Batman exclaimed before pushing play.
They watched that night as Wally fell through the zetabeam, four men coming to him. Batman skipped through the rape scene, but everyone was mortified by what happened next. They watched as Wally just tried to take his own life.
Multiple people started whispering to each other, some trying to comfort others.
Robin wasn't in the best state. He collapsed into Roy, bringing them both to the ground.
He hasn't slept or ate in days.
He was a disaster.Roy was in the process of calming the bird down while picking himself and Robin up before he got a text.
He sighs before pulling out his phone.Unknown#: Roy?
R: Who is this?
Unknown#: it's WallyHe gasped after seeing those words. He was just about to tell everyone before his phone buzzed again.
Unknown#: please don't tell anyone.
R: What? Wally why? And who's number?
W: I don't want anyone knowing... I'm out Roy. I don't want to do this anymore. After me and Rob had that fight. I can't go back.Roy looks over at Robin who's now standing up on his own, almost paralyzed staring at the now blank computer screen.
He nudges him in the shoulder, "Hey, what happened on the screen?"
It took awhile but Robin finally answered. "Joker took Wally... But he doesn't have him now. The police were able to capture him a few days ago... Someone else must have him. Me and Bats are going to go talk to him."He stands straight with a stoic expression. Looking more like Batman than ever.
"Did Batman sa-" "who cares what Batman says." He glances at Roy, a glare taking place. Challenging him to go against him."... I'll continue searching in Gotham for you." He finally says with a slight nod.
Robin relaxes a bit, "thanks, Roy."
He turns around leaving, Roy glances up and notices he's the only one in the room.
He instantly takes his leave, dialing the number the moment he was out of the mountain."Hello?" he hears sniffling from the other side.
"Wally? Are you ok? You're not hurt or anything, right? Who's phone are you on? Whe-"
Wally cuts him off with a laugh, "Jesus Roy. No need to go all mother hen on me. To answer your questions I am ok. I'm n-not phys-sically hurt.. An-and I'm on Ivy's phone.."
He stands there in shock. "Ivy's phone? As in Poison Ivy?"
It's silent for awhile before a timid yes spoke up. "It-it's not what it seems Roy. They rescued me-" "they?" "Harley and Ivy. But they rescued me from The Joker. And no Joker didn't hurt me.. Yet at least."
"Wally where are you?"
He sighs on the other line, "don't worry Roy, you'll see me again. Probably not the way you want but..."
"What do you mean Wally?" Roy grips the phone in his hand, not liking the turn of this conversation.
"Look Roy, I said I was out of the hero business. I can't go back there with Robin-" "what happened with Robin?" "Nothing, but I just think everyone would be better off without me."
"Wally, that's not true."
"It is and I just texted to tell you that I'm fine.. I-I'm just.. not cut out for that superhero work anymore..."
"Wally you don't mean-" "goodbye Roy. Please.. Don't tell anyone. I'm trusting you."
He hung up, not letting Roy utter a single word out. He stands there in that god forbidden alley that Wally was captured in. He looks around and noticed all the blood.
Wally's blood.
He lets out a yell before throwing his phone and smashing it into pieces.
He needed to get ahold of Selina.
She needs to know that Wally continuing this life isn't good for him.
That he's not a villain.
He needed to find her.
Wally trusts him to not tell anyone... What was he going to do?~~~~~~~
Selina was currently pacing back and forth in the living room.
Wally called her earlier telling her he's going to be home today.
She couldn't wait to hug the daylights out of her Kitten.
The doorknob started jiggling, signaling someone was unlocking it. She was there in a heartbeat, pulling the door open to a surprised Wally. She didn't waste anytime pulling him into a hug. She noticed him flinch away but before she could let go he hugged her back. Practically putting all of his weight onto her and crying.
She rubbed his back trying to soothe him while walking towards the couch. When they reached the couch, she glanced up when the door shuts and sees Harley and Ivy standing awkwardly in the door.
"Thank you for bringing my Kitten home," she spoke over Wally's jumbling words causing him to stop and look up at her in shock."It was no problem really," Harley spoke up walking towards them. She placed her hand on his head, scratching and petting it in just the right spots.
Soon Wally was a purring mess.
The girls all giggle, while Wally falls over on the couch, purring in content.Selina goes to get up to head towards the kitchen but a hand on her wrist stops her. "A-are you mad at me? D-do you want me to leave? Please don't make me leave. Pl-please don't l-leave me t-too."
He bursts into tears, curling up in a ball, but never letting go of her.She quickly kneels down beside him, petting his hair back from his eyes.
"Shh, shh Kitten.. I'm not leaving you. And you're not leaving me. I'm not mad. I'm more worried than anything. I thought... I thought I lost my Kitten.."
A few tears fall from her face and she feels a hand wipe away her tears. She glances up and sees Wally looking at her with a small smile, his own tears falling."You can't get rid of me that easily.. I am a Kyle after all."
"You are.. You most certainly are." She laughs.
He glances over to Harley and Ivy. "Are you guys gonna stay the night?"
They glance at each other shocked before Ivy spoke up. "If you want us to Wally."He slowly sits up and nods his head yes, a blush overcoming his face.
"Yay!" Screamed Harley, "family night!" She goes out of the room to who knows where in the house and starts rambling about board games, movies, and cookies.
"I better go get her," spoke Ivy amused before following after her.All that was left was Wally and Selina.
"Wally... What happened between you and Robin?"
He tenses up a bit, before choking on a sob. "He-he..."
"You don't have to tell me yet Kitten. I'll understand." She assured, he shook his head, but not saying a word.
She sighs before changing the subject, "I went into your room." He looks up in shock. "Why didn't you tell me you were an artist? We need to get those pictures framed and hang them all over the house."He laughs a bit before whining out, "mom~. That's embarrassing!"
They both giggle before Harley runs back in the living room a few minutes later with a breathless Ivy.
Both of their hair was a mess and their lipstick smeared a bit."Oh gosh please tell me it wasn't my room." Spoke Wally with fake fear.
"Nope!" Screamed Harley, "it was Selina's!"
Ivy whacks Harley over the head while Selina groaned in frustration and Wally laughed at her distress.
Yep. It was good to have her Kitten home.
