*West-Allen Household*
Iris was working on a special project at this time of hour before a knock interrupted her work. Confused by the interruption she made her way to the door, peeking through the window and seeing a very attractive woman. '
Maybe she has the wrong house?' she thought to herself.Opening the door Iris went to greet the woman before said woman turned back towards her car. "Come on. It'll be okay!"
Iris, confused, peaked over the woman's shoulder towards her car, seeing a mop of red and black hair hiding from view."Hello?" Iris asked, "can I help you?"
The woman turned and gave her a charming smile, "hmm.. maybe. The name's Selina. Selina Kyle. I brought someone to see you, but obviously, he's trying to run away!"Turning toward the car it wasn't noticeable at first, but Iris took notice of the driver's side door open and the car empty. Glancing to and fro she spotted the black and red-haired boy in the neighbor's yard frozen by the fact that he was caught.
Selina sighed, "you said you wanted to see them."
The boy, who has yet to face them, shouted, "I know, but they'll hate me!"
Iris stared at the boy a bit longer, the voice familiar, before it clicked, but she couldn't be for sure yet.
Taking things into her own hands Iris decided to test her theory, "we don't hate you."
The boy stayed silent before answering once more, "you don't even recognize me, do you?"
"Turn around and prove me wrong.. Wally."He tensed before turning around with tears in his eyes, "Aunt Iris," he choked out.
Iris had to refrain from running to him, for he looked so scared and lost.
"Wally, baby, come here, " she soothed.
He wrapped his arms around himself before slowly moving towards the two women. It was the slowest Iris has ever seen him move.Once he reached them Iris moved just as slow, placing a hand on his shoulder. He flinched a bit, but stayed put, watching her with pain-filled eyes before collapsing onto her. The two redheads embraced each other tightly, clinging to the other with tears rolling down their faces, while Selina stood with a small smile.
This will help him heal."I hate to break the happy fest, but we should probably move this inside." Selina interrupted.
Iris pulled away first with a small smile before agreeing, "I'll go call the others."
"No!" yelped Wally, fear brimming his eyes, "no... I'm not-I don't... Just Barry, ok?"
Iris was confused but agreed nonetheless. After migrating inside Iris was on the phone with Barry.
"Iris? Why are you calling me? You know I'm in a meeting. Is everything okay?" Barry, or right now, The Flash asked.
"Everything's okay Barry... More than okay. Are you alone? No one needs to hear this." From the other side of the room where Wally and Selina were talking, she saw Wally smile before he caught her eyes. Did he hear her?
"In my room now babe. But seriously, is everything ok?"
"Wally's home, Barry... But he doesn't want people knowing just yet." She waits for a response but doesn't get one. Checking her phone she sees that she's still on call. "Bar-"
A gust of wind cuts her off before she glances at the door. There stood The Flash before he ripped off his cowl revealing Barry Allen underneath. He takes a quick look before his eyes landed on Wally.
"Oh my god, Kid!" he runs at Wally, not noticing the scared look, before wrapping him up in his arms. Wally tenses for a second, staring wide-eyed at what blond locks he could see before slowly wrapping his arms around his uncle.
A few short breaths later, Wally was clinging to his uncle, much like he did with Iris, and sobbing his heart out. A few apologies were uttered from both males' lips, neither loosening their grip even as Iris joined the hug.
Again they were interrupted by an amused and lighthearted female. "Hate to, again, ruin the moment, but is this really how you keep a secret identity a secret?"
Barry takes one look at the female before jumping in front of Iris and Wally, his cowl back in place. "Who are you?"
Wally grabs his arm, "Bar-"
"Awe, is that any way to treat a guest?"
"Guest?" questioned Barry before glancing at Iris and Wally.A sheepish look dawned on Wally's face, "did I forget to introduce everyone?"
Selina chuckled, "it's fine Kitten."
Barry raised an eyebrow at the odd nickname but Wally interrupted his thoughts. "Selina this is my Uncle Barry and Aunt Iris. Aunt Iris, Uncle Barry this is Selina... My guardian."
"Guardian?" questioned Iris, "the woman who adopted you?"
A bright smile lit up Wally's face before he zipped on over to her with an arm around her, "yep!"Selina smiled at the smile that illuminated his face. She's never seen it this bright before, not even when he saw Robin or was with his group of friends, or more importantly Isaac.
Barry still held a frown, while Iris was thanking Selina for taking care of Wally.
"So you're the woman who's been hiding Wally from the world?"The house went still before Wally spoke up, "she hasn't been hiding me from the world."
Barry still wasn't convinced, "Kid.. you've been missing for months, you were kidnapped by Joker and Harley, then Harley and Ivy, afterward I'm learning that your parents are in jail for abuse and that you were adopted. And that's all I could get out of your files.""Yea.. but that was my own doing. I didn't want you all to find me. I didn't want you all to know. Plus I wasn't exactly hiding... I mean Roy and Artemis found me just like that." With each word, both Barry and Iris noticed how Wally stood in front of Selina more and more.
"Why didn't you want to be found, Wally? We found out about your parents and we are so sorry we didn't notice sooner. And Robin told us what happened between you two and he regrets it deeply." Iris asked in a soft voice.
"I-I wasn't ready to face everything and I needed time to find myself... Wow doesn't this sound like one of those sappy sob moments?" he finished with a chuckle.
"But you shouldn't have run, Kid. We would have been there for you. We would have understood if yo-"
"But you can't understand." Wally started.Selina stared at Wally with mixed emotions while Barry and Iris looked on in confusion. "Look.. I've changed. I'm not the same Wally you remember nor will I ever be. I know I shouldn't have run... but I needed to know who I really am."
"Kid... I know things are different and that you may think we won't understand and honestly? We probably won't. But we'll always be there to help and support you. That's what family is for." Barry had such an intensity in his eyes and Iris was right beside him with the same look that Wally had no choice but to believe them.
"Ok.."He sniffed a few times and all 3 adults were surrounding him in an instance. Barry and Iris were shocked by the protective streak Selina had over Wally, but they could understand why it was there.
"I'm not going to outright tell you guys every single bits and pieces of my life, but one day I will... Just-thank you. All of you."
As Wally sobbed all 3 adults shared a look.
They won't let anyone hurt Wally ever again.Barry decided to break the tension, "so... New haircut Kid?"
Wally choked out a laugh before Iris interrupted.
"Why don't I go and make some cookies then we all do some catching up?" suggested Iris.
Barry smiled, "You're staying the night right? Your room is still where you left it Kid, and theirs a guest bedroom beside his Selina."
"Yes, and thank you," Selina purred.
"Wally!" yelled Iris from the kitchen, "Would you like to help me?"
"Yea!" and with a flash, he was gone, the sound of the two redheads laughter ringing from the kitchen."Thank you," whispered Barry, so as to not interrupt the two redheads.
"No reason to thank me. He's my Kitten after all and I want him happy."
Barry smiled a bittersweet smile, "he seems to be happy with you... I thought that he'd come home for good, but it seems he's made himself a new home."
"I'll make sure there will be constant visits. After all, you are his favorite uncle."
She stalks to the kitchen with Barry chuckling behind her when a thought occurred to him, "hey! I'm his only uncle..."
