He was expected to do so much. Too much.
He had to care for his siblings.
He had to get A's and B's
He had to Ace tests.
He had to get a job.
He had to help pay bills.
He had to be the perfect sonHe thought it would change at the Garrison.
It didn't.
He Needs to pay attention
He needs to be on his best behavior at all times
He had to be in bed at a certain time
He has to listen to orders
He had to be the perfect pilotMaybe Voltron was a new beginning?
He has to be calm and collected
He has to be brave
He needed to train
He has to be on timeHe has to stop being flirty
He has to stop being so energetic
He has to stop being so loud.
He needs to be quiet
He needs to be better
He needs to act like a soldier
He needs to be more like KeithHe needs to be a perfect Paladin
What happens to a person when so much is expected from them? Some lose themselves, become the person they are expected to be. Others drown in the expectations. It's all too much.
He lost himself too many times. Many times of him being perfect. He had to keep finding himself. It was all too much. Too many expectations. He drowned in the words. The orders. The expectations.
Lance McClain has drowned.
