The inside of her house was neat, everything within a color scheme, and everything was neat and in place.
I heard the rapid echo of high heels clicking on a tile floor. A flurried woman scurried over to us."Oh dear, you sure are home late darling," she mumbled, gently touching her hand on her daughter's shoulder. She looked around quickly, as if unsure what to do.
"And you brought a friend, how wonderful," she forced a smile and I shyly waved.
"I'll get Regina to set up a bed in your room," her mother said hastily. She was frail and seemed aged with worry and stress. She was wearing a lavender dress which ended exactly at her knees. She had heels on, medium height. The color matched her dress perfectly. She had a pearl necklace on, and a few diamond chains on her wrist. I noted she didn't have any engagement ring on her finger. Her hair was done up in blond curls, she didn't have much makeup on except for some peach lipstick and thin black eyeliner.
"Well, bye mom," she said quickly. She grabbed my hand and we dashed upstairs to her room. She sat on her bed, and gazed at me.
"So Ashley, I'm River," she tilted her head slightly."So, what's the story?" one of her eyebrows curved. I took a long breath before telling her everything.
"Well Ashley, it seems as if you've been through some shit, so, how about we go to a concert, spam the social medias with pictures, and blow everyone's minds," she gave me an excited smile.
I glanced at her walls, which were covered with band posters, many of the bands I liked as well. I turned to her with a devious grin."Perfect," I stated. We dressed up, River let me borrow her clothes. I wore a black leather dress, with fishnet stockings and clunky black jewelry. I strapped on a pair of black heels.
"We're going to look sick," she giggled. Her nose scrunched up a little as she laughed. She was putting on a similar black dress, except she paired it with a spikey belt and matching heels with decorative spikes. She put on a choker.
"Ooh! Can I do your makeup?" I squealed excitedly. She nodded, and plopped herself down on her vanity chair. I curled her hair first, then I gave her a smoky eye look with a red lip color.
"My turn!" she smiled plopping me onto the chair. In a flurry she straightened my hair to be as straight as a pin, she did a complicated eyeliner look and slid on some black lipstick with ease.
We both looked seductively at my phone camera, and snapped a picture. I uploaded it to Instagram with no caption."Let's split," she headed out and I followed her. We climbed down the classic spiral staircase.
"Wow girls, you certainly look dressed up," her mom tried to smile encouragingly.
"Mom we're going to a concert, see ya," River waved to her mom.
"Have fun girls!" her mom yelled nervously as we closed the door behind us. We sped off to the concert, singing obnoxiously to loud music on the way there.
When we got to the concert, many were crowded around the entrance, struggling to buy tickets, while there was a long winding line just to get in.
"Shit, I should've guessed this would happen," she groaned.
I looked at a nearby banner."This is a Pierce the veil and sleeping with sirens concert?" I asked pulling out my phone.
"Yeah," she gave me a curious look as I opened my contacts.
"Lucky for us I met Kellin and Vic at a red carpet event," I dialed Vic's number.
"Hello?" He answered. There was lots of background noise.
