Chapter 7

"Come on," I looked up and saw chandler in front of me. Everything around us seemed fuzzy, but I could tell we were in the city at night.

The lights from the buildings sparkled, and I could hear the light noise of traffic.

"Let's go," he smiled mischievously and grabbed my hand. He dashed through the streets, pulling me after him.

I ran after him until he stopped suddenly. I was panting, and he looked overjoyed, and almost wild. Our bodies were close, and our eyes locked.

I felt my face leaning towards his. Our lips were inches away.

I jolted awake as my shrill alarm pierced my dream. I shook off the dream as I got ready for school. I was brushing on a final layer of mascara when my phone buzzed.

Karen: remember be ready for cast dinner at 5. catch a ride with Norman.

I went downstairs where Norman was lying on the couch eating cereal with Mingus.

"Ming is going to school with you today," Norman nodded at me.

"Cool, you can hang with chandler and I," I smiled and Mingus gave me a nervous smile.

Norman glanced at his watch and cursed as he set his cereal bowl down and grabbed his keys.

"I can drive us to school," I smiled.

"That'd be great, you guys wouldn't mind right?" He questioned settling back on the couch.

"Yeah sure, we can switch off driving," Mingus smiled and followed me to the garage.

I sat in the seat of my red Porsche and Mingus sat next to me. I glided my hands along the smooth steering wheel before starting the car.

I backed out and drove us to school.

When I pulled into the school parking lot, I recognized chandlers car, and parked in an empty space next to it.

Heads turned as I got out of the car with Mingus. The girls whispered excitedly. Two cute single boys coming to our school got them excited. First chandler, now my brother, Mingus.

I noticed some of the guys sizing up Mingus, and checking me out, but I ignored them.

"Ming!" Chandler walked up to us and high fived Mingus.

"Man it's good to see a familiar face," Mingus's eyes nervously darted at all the passing classmates. I lead them both to our usual picnic table.

I was in the middle of telling Mingus everything about the school, that Wes and I told chandler, when I heard some people walking up to us.

"Oh my god, hey," I heard a familiar squeal. Chloe Brittany. Her close friends called her Chloe.

I know because I used to be one. Chloe and I were best friends from kindergarten to 7th grade. My mom passed away then and I entered a state of depression. Chloe left me for the popular crowd, where she is today.

"Uh sup?" I noticed she had her minions with her. Firstly there was Alexis, her best friend.

They were a perfect set. Chloe was a beach blond with green piercing eyes. Her friend was a brunette with hazel eyes.

They would be pretty if they didn't cake their faces with makeup and add extensions to their hair and have awful fake personalities.

Next to them was Justin. His black hair fell across his face like chandlers, and he had brown eyes. He dated me for almost a month, but afterwards he broke up with me and went straight to chloe, and they've been dating since.
