Chapter 6

I looked out the window as I saw expensive houses pass me. I remember once I drove up here and gazed at the expensive neighborhood houses I thought I could never own.

Small parks were scattered between the houses, and every now and then a golf cart would whizz past us. The neighborhood was in the hills, and every house had a beautiful view of the city skyline.

Norman eventually pulled up to one house which looked to be at least three stories. The house resembled mansions I had only seen in movies.

Norman pulled into a garage where a few other expensive looking cars were parked.

"Here we are," Norman got out of the car and I followed him inside. The inside of the house was just as great and expensive as the outside. Normans phone rang and he answered it.

"I've got to go, Mingus show her around and get her settled," he whispered before pacing off.

Mingus smiled and gave me a tour of the house. It was probably the biggest home I'd ever been inside.

"Dad hired an interior decorator as soon as he learned you were moving in," Mingus smirked as we came to a final room.

"Huh? What for?" I stuttered.

"For you! I'm not gonna lie, my dad spoils me, you should expect the same. He hired someone to decorate your room," he smiled and pushed open the door.

I gasped as a huge room opened in front of me. The room was the size of my entire apartment.

There was a huge bed with lilac blankets. There were nicely done throw pillows arranged on the bed.

One wall was an entire wall of windows. I could see all the backyard, and the skyline of LA. There was a balcony perched out with some chairs and a coffee table facing the view.

There was a desk which had some of my stuff on it like my laptop and iPad.

There was a flat screen tv hanging on the wall, underneath it some couches and a drawer filled with movies, and video games.

On one wall there was a huge bookshelf filled with my favorite books. A small beanbag leaned against the shelf.

There were two doors, I opened one to see a huge walk-in closet already filled with my own clothes, shoes, and accessories.

The other was a bathroom with a spa bathtub and a shower, toilet, and sink. There were drawers underneath the sink which held some of my stuff, and some of my other stuff was on the sink counter.

"Mingus this is amazing!" I beamed.

"My dad was hoping you'd like it," he smiled and I engulfed him in a hug.

I snapped a picture of my bedroom and typed quickly on my keyboard.

I posted it to my twitter and instagram. I quickly silenced my phone.

"So you like it?" I turned around to see Norman coming inside smirking.

"I love it," I grinned. He blushed a little as I hugged him.

"Good," he smiled.

"Dad show her the car," Mingus exclaimed.

"Mingus we were going to surprise her," Norman joked.

Norman lead me downstairs to the garage again. There was a parked red Porsche next to all the other cars.

I turned to Norman just as he tossed me the keys.

"Ming and I thought you could get a new ride," he smiled and I hugged him and Mingus for what felt like the millionth time.

"Now, go get cleaned up both of you, we're having pizzas for dinner," Norman smiled and Mingus and I rushed to our rooms to shower.

I went upstairs and took a long warm shower. Luckily my cheeks swelling was going down. It looked pretty normal by now.

I wrapped a towel around my waist as I got out. I put on a pair of sweats and a plain black tank top. I put my hair up in a messy bun.

"Pizzas here!" I heard Norman yell. I scampered down the stairs. The smell of cheesy pizza wafted in the living room.

Norman and Mingus were sitting on the couch already eating some pizza. I grabbed a slice and sat down next to them.

Norman and Mingus watched some game on tv as we munched on pizza. I wasn't really into sports, but I sat with them and texted chandler.

Chandler: ru coming to school and the cast dinner tomorrow?

Ashley: yeah, I got out of the hospital this afternoon.

Chandler: good, I need someone to protect me from the fan girls ;)

I blushed a little and smiled at my phone.

"Who ya texting?" Mingus smirked and playfully poked my shoulder.

"Nobody," I tried to hide my smile.

"Ooooh chandler riggs," Mingus taunted grinning at me.

"Chandler riggs? He ain't getting close to my girl," Norman smirked and pulled me into a hug.

I felt weirdly happy that I was "his girl".

Ashley: I got to go, I'm having dinner with Ming and Norman

Chandler: I'll see you tomorrow

I jumped a little as Norman and Mingus suddenly jumped up and cheered.

"We won!" Norman smirked and chuckled.

I yawned and stretched as Mingus clicked off the tv. Him and Norman high fived and Norman glanced at his watch.

"Damn it's late, y'all go to bed, there's school tomorrow," Norman playfully shoved Mingus and Mingus stumbled upstairs.

"Thank you so much Norman," I said.

"C'mere," he smiled and opened his arms. I hugged him and his arms wrapped around me.

I felt protected. He rested his chin on my head and I snuggled into him.

He smelled like pizza, a little cologne, and clean clothes. It was a weird but nice combination.

"I love you like my own," he whispered.

"I love you too, you're a better dad to me than anyone else ever could be," I felt his hand rub my arm reassuringly.

He let go of me and I stood up.

"Goodnight," I said sleepily.

"Goodnight," he smiled and I trudged up to my room.

I set my phones alarm, and softly played some music. I drifted off to sleep as paramore softly played through my speakers.

So I gave Norman, Mingus, and Ashley some quality family time. Also I got Ashley settled down in a nice house. I'm sorry this chapter was so short, but I felt I left off at a semi-calm place. I also have some chandler and Ashley bonding time coming up, plus Ashley will meet and get close to much more of the cast. I'm planning on making her mostly close with Emily, Steven, Norman, chandler, and Lauren. Maybe Melissa but those are my top people. btw sorry this chapter was kinda short
