"I'm home!" I shouted. I could hear some sports game Mingus and Norman were watching.
"Aye!" I heard Mingus yell as I entered the living room. I collapsed onto the couch next to Norman.
"How was your date?" Mingus taunted playfully.
"It wasn't a date, we just hung out," I blushed trying to hide my smile.
"I think Ashley likes chandler," Norman raised an eyebrow at me and poked me.
"I don't like him," I bit my lip and Norman and Mingus both shared a look.
"Score!" Norman bellowed jumping up and high fiving Mingus.
I playfully rolled my eyes as the boys expressed their excitement for their sport teams victory.
"Whatcha kids want for dinner?" Norman opened the fridge, Mingus peeked over his shoulder as I sat on the counter.
"Chinese food," Mingus exclaimed pointing at something in the fridge.
"Dad is the best cook ever," Mingus looked at me.
"Well I'm looking forward to having some food cooked by him," I smirked.
Norman started pulling ingredients out of the fridge.
"Hey Mingus why don't you take Ashley to the park," Norman suggested.
"Can we take the golf cart?" Mingus asked zipping up his jacket.
"Yeah sure, be back for dinner," Norman nodded.
"Come on, there's a sweet park nearby, we can drive there in the golf cart," Mingus took me to the garage. I slipped my phone in my pocket, and put on some shoes.
Mingus lead me to a corner of the garage I hadn't seen before, three golf carts were parked next to each other.
Each one had a letter on the front, there was an 'N', an 'M', and lastly an 'A'.
"Is that one mine?" I asked motioning to the one with the 'A'.
"Yep, you can drive I'll give you directions," Mingus tossed me a key.
I got in and started the cart. Mingus directed me until we came to a park. There was a small Starbucks, and as I got closer I noticed a nice pond and playground, and a huge field, dotted with bright yellow sunflowers and white daisies.
The field had a view of the la skyline. Mingus showed me the way to the small parking lot. There was only one other golf cart parked there, and one car.
"Come on," Mingus tugged at my arm, I quickly turned off the cart and Mingus showed me around the park.
Ducks were paddling along the pond, a few kids were giggling at the playground. There were some young couples sitting in the field, on blankets looking at the view.
"Man this place is amazing," I grinned.
"And they even have a Starbucks," Mingus joked.
I snapped a pictures of the city, with the field and flowers bordering the bottom.
I posted it on Instagram and twitter just as Mingus playfully snorted.
"What?" I mumbled choosing a filter for my photo.
"You are such a white girl," he rolled his eyes playfully.
"Hey," I swatted him playfully.
"But it's cool to have a sister who loves video games," he nudged me with his elbow.
"Thank you," I smiled.
Mingus's phone vibrated and he glanced at the screen.
"Dinners almost done, we should head back," we drove back home, and pulled into the driveway.
