I logged off my computer and stretched. I looked outside to see the sun setting. I went into the kitchen and made myself a bowl of ramen.

I set out an extra bowl of ramen in case my dad woke up. In a weird way I always felt like his mother. I cleaned up around him, picking up cigarette butts and empty bottles.

I threw a blanket over him before heading to my room. I turned on my phone to see I had a new text.

Karen: I'm your new agent, I think it's a good idea for you to make a twitter and instagram. All the cast is going to be promoting you. I've contacted twitter and they've agreed to make you a verified account. Also on Wednsday there is a walking dead cast dinner. Wear a dress, I've called a chauffeur to drive you to the restaurant, be ready at 5 for pickup.

Ashley: okay thanks

I realized tomorrow was Monday, and in a panic finished my math homework due the next day.

I sighed and shoved my binder in my backpack. I set up my twitter, and immediately the entire cast and crew started following me.

My phone buzzed over and over as the cast shouted me out and I gained followers. I recognized many other celebrities as they followed me as well.

@ashleyquinn: I'm so glad to be part of #twdfamily can't wait to meet everyone :)

My phone kept buzzing with notifications as I set up my instagram. I quickly got many follows and shoutouts on that account as well. I decided to promote myself, so I logged back onto my twitter, which was still buzzing with notifications.

@ashleyquinn: I made an instagram as well, same username, go and check me out

I quickly turned my phone on silent, as the notifications were getting annoying. I guess this was what it felt like to be liked.

Not much later I started getting texts. I was getting texts from people at my school who usually never texted me. I ignored all of them. I knew they were trying to be my friend because of my recently found fame.

I yawned and turned off my phone, sliding into my bed. It gave a loud creak as I tried to make myself comfortable on the stiff mattress.

The next morning my alarm blasted Paramore. I quickly turned it off, not wanting to disturb my dad.

Usually in mornings he wasn't home. He was usually hungover from the night before. I got dressed in some of my new clothes and slung my backpack over my shoulder.

I grabbed my phone and a granola bar before heading into the hall where Wes was waiting for me.

Every morning I rode to school with Wes since usually my dad took my car.

We got into his old pickup truck and we went to school. As I got out of the car, it seemed as if everyone was staring at me.

I got a lot of "hi's" and waves as I walked through the halls. Some people stared, while other people whispered to others.

I ignored them as Wes walked next to me, smiling assuringly.

"Someone was saying there's a new kid today," Wes muttered to me.

"Man, I wish him luck," I grimaced remembering when I had my first day of school without my mother.

The shrill bell rang and everyone scattered off to their classes. I waved to Wes as we went off to our seperate classes.

I plopped down in my usual seat in the middle row right by the window. A few kids sat next to me and waved and I politely waved back.

"Alright class settle down," I looked up to see Mrs. Lee yelling over the chatter of all the kids. Everyone's voices eventually quieted.
