Within a park in the Central Town district of the large megalopolis West City, many citizens go about their lives. The scenery is peaceful and boasts a pond, several sculptures, and a fountain. Children play and lovers walk around as a long line to an ice cream stand is beside a trail. The line is long and many seem impatient.
"Hurry up already!"
"We want to get some!"
They don't seem happy and growing very impatient each minute passes by. At the beginning of the line stands a confused man wearing formal clothing consisting of a grey collar shirt and red pants. He's very confused on his selections as even the ice cream vendor gets impatient.
"Just grab one already!"
"Hmmm I wonder which one Pan would like" the man says.
"Sir, you're holding up the line" the vendor responds.
"I got it. This one."
The man selects the Golden Vanilla flavor and the vendor gives two scoops on a cone and hands it off.
"Don't worry about paying sir. It's on the house."
"Really?"
"Enjoy."
The man walks away as everyone in line is finally happy. The man holds the two ice creams in his hand and looks around the park.
"Gohan!"
He looks over to find Videl sitting on a blanket in the grass with Pan, their baby, in her arms. Gohan gives out a smile. He walks over to them and sits as Pan floats over to him smiling and lands on top of his head.
"Ahaha Pan settle down."
Videl grabs the ice cream and Pan goes for it, grabbing the Golden Vanilla flavor. She eats and smiles. Videl leans on Gohan as they share their ice cream and look at Pan eat hers.
"I wasn't sure which flavor she would like" he says.
"I think you're overthinking it just a bit there."
"She's growing so fast. I'm not sure how I'm gonna keep up with that, especially while being a professor....Oh jeez."
"What?"
"I forgot to grade the students papers for tomorrow."
A worried look on his face, Gohan lets out a sigh full of tension and stress on his mind. Videl sees this in her husbands face, grabs hold of his hand and looks in his eyes.
"Gohan listen. You can worry about that stuff tonight. Right now is the time you take to relax with your family."
Gohan looks at Videl and her face reminds him of all the reasons why he fell in love with her in the first place. He smiles.
"You're right."
She smiles back.
"Of coarse I am. I am your wife after all. Keep in mind we're going to go camping when Pan is a bit older."
"I remember my Dad once took me camping. He rushed me to get my homework done so we could've."
The two laugh as Gohan looks to see Pan floating away towards the ice cream stand.
"Pan!"
He goes after her as she floats over and he grabs her just before she could go any further.
"Don't go too far okay?"
Suddenly, a bad chill tingles Gohan's senses. He holds Pan close to him as he looks around the vicinity. Nothing.
