Dragon Ball Super: Cooler's Wrath

CHAPTER 26: VEGETA AND BROLY vs COOLER

Broly stands atop the cliff as Cooler hovers over the water below. Both are out of breath, recovering, before they get back into fighting stance, waiting to see who'll move first. Without a blink, Cooler and Broly charge at the same time and clash with their first punch. Cooler manages to sneak a hit and sends Broly into the air before using his tail to fling him straight back down into the water causing a ripple effect on the sea floor as Cooler zooms in and continuously punches him before Broly sends a kick and now both zoom back into the air above sea level and exchange rapid punches at each other. Cooler uses instant transmission to his advantage, catching Broly off guard on all directions before Broly uses explosive wave to catch him when he got too close. Broly sends a rapid volley of ki that Cooler deflects before using instant transmission to go behind Broly who anticipates it, backhanding Cooler unexpectedly. Cooler catches himself and wipes the blood off of his forehead.

"Well, well" Cooler says, "what is your name if I may ask."

"Broly."

"Broly. I see. For a monkey you do prove to uphold a formidable level of power and an actual challenge to my stature. I commemorate you for it."

Broly is prepared to strike once more.

"Sadly, saiyan, this is the place where you will die. Such a waste."

Suddenly, Vegeta sneaks a kick straight to Cooler's jaw and elbows him away. Broly is stunned to see Vegeta appear.

"Don't give me that look" he tells Broly, "you've fought him long enough. It's about time I get a crack at him."

Cooler straightens out his jaw after it appeared dislocated and stretches out his muscles. He sees Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue stand before him beside Broly.

"Is this the Prince of all Saiyans finally caring to give me an audience?" he says, "It's about time."

"You and I have things to settle."

"Does this involve your brother? The one who joined me and seeks to wipe your existence off the face of the Earth?"

Vegeta charges at Cooler and the two fight. Cooler sends Vegeta flying and Vegeta comes back with a vengeance. He lands a kick on Cooler's neck, but Cooler grapples him and slams him right to the ground. Cooler grips Vegeta by the jaw, letting him struggle to breathe.

"Compared to that Broly, you're no match for me Vegeta," he says, "I've seen how you fight. You're all style and no substance."

Vegeta tries to scream and out of nowhere Broly saves him, punching Cooler directly in the face. Vegeta gets up to find Cooler heading directly at him and disappears. Unaware of where he might be, he looks around before Cooler is right on top of him. Broly quickly arrives and shoots an energy blast from his chest, hitting Cooler. Vegeta is frustrated and fires a Big Bang Attack that Broly and Cooler immediately dodge before Cooler takes that opportunity to jab Vegeta in the chest and looks around, sensing Broly's energy.

"I see you."

Cooler quickly grabs Vegeta by the ankle and flings him towards Broly who was shrouded behind the smog caused by Vegeta's attack. He uses his darkness eye beam, an attack that sends two thin lasers towards Vegeta and Broly that explode on contact.

Cooler is physically exhausted but stays contempt, seeing Vegeta and Broly try to stand.

"That bastard, we didn't even start actually fighting and he's already put a dent in me" Vegeta says to himself, "I will not allow this."

"He is strong" Broly replies, "you can still fight?"

"What kind of question is that?"

The two see Cooler walk towards them. Vegeta looks at Broly whose ready to go for the next round. He reminds himself of his training on Yardrat and balancing his body and spirit. With a deep breath and concentration, Vegeta lets out a scream and increases his power.
