Dragon Ball Super: Cooler's Wrath

CHAPTER 27:THE END IS NEAR, NO MORE GAMES

Broly is getting punched left and right as Cooler overwhelms him with his newfound inner strength. No matter the amount of power Broly uses, it's overwhelmed by Cooler who holds him on his knees. Broly tries his hardest to break free as Cooler constricts his grip and Vegeta swoops in to try and save him but is easily blasted away with one finger. Vegeta recovers quickly to see Broly sent flying towards him and the two smack against each other before reverting back to base form.

Suddenly, Frieza and Goku arrive and fight together against Cooler but prove no match as he back hands Frieza and incapacitates Goku by kneeing his chest and elbowing his back simultaneously. Unfazed, Cooler tosses them both towards Vegeta and Broly. The four try to stand up but only see a large energy blast head straight at them, leaving only the rubble piling up. Goku and Vegeta appear out of the rubble first.

"And I thought Moro was a tough opponent" he says to Vegeta.

"Any ideas? You think fusion would work?" Vegeta responds back.

"I doubt it. Fusion dance will only delay the inevitable and we don't have any potaras either. We're all just gonna have to work together if we're to beat him."

Frieza pops out of the rubble having been shielded by Broly. Everyone's battle damaged and barely have the strength to stand. Vegeta makes eye contact with Frieza and feels weary.

"Kakarot you know how I feel about working side by side with him" he says, "you two might've defeated Jiren together, but that won't work with me."

"Come on Vegeta, this is all we have. I'm sure the others are working on the ship so this is our final stand between Cooler and getting that Star destroyed."

Vegeta looks at Frieza and grits his teeth, not really wanting to work with such pure evil once again in his life. He takes a deep breath.

"It's not like we have a choice I guess."

"Are you all done wasting time talking?" Cooler shouts as he gets into fighting stance, granting a warm welcome to attack, "whenever you are ready, your end is near. No more games."

The four look at one another, knowing the only shot they have is if they try to work together as a team. Then, Goku gets pumped up along with Vegeta and soon after Broly chimes in and Frieza as they shout at the top of their lungs, attempting to rise whatever energy they have left in them to fight. Goku immediately goes Super Saiyan Blue and shouts, "Kaioken times thirty!"

Vegeta thinks about Tarble, his family, and all the things in his life that led to this point and reminding himself of his training back on Yardrat. Within him, his spirit channels throughout his body and he feels his energy come into balance with his body as his hair glows a royal blue. He roars off the top of his lungs and transforms into his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved state. Broly returns to full power as Frieza goes into his Golden form once again. Cooler, with his silver aura emitting from his body, welcomes this.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Z-Fighters sense the immense energy clustering near Cooler and Goku as they defend themselves against soldiers. They're getting surrounded as too many arrive outnumbering them. Goten and Trunks stick with Gohan as they prepare to fight. Suddenly, Tarble arrives and quickly speeds around the looming soldiers, killing each one before landing in front of everyone. The faces on them are pure shock as Tarble makes eye contact.

"Whose this guy?" Trunks asks.

They stand in defense as Tarble greets himself, "The name's Tarble. I'm Vegeta's younger brother."

"WHAAAAAAT?!!!!!" they all shout.

Tarble sees the Big Gete Star start to create sounds as the drill slowly stops.

"We don't have much time" he says to the Z-Fighters, "the Big Gete Star is almost complete gathering energy. We're gonna have to destroy it from the main computer inside."

"Why should we trust you?" Piccolo asks.

Tarble looks at him with genuine honesty and sees Trunks.

"Because I have family here I'm willing to protect and while the others are fighting Cooler, I'm your best shot in taking this ship down."

Piccolo looks into his eyes and sees Tarble is honest in his words. Cheelai arrives with a hijacked ship.

"Let's get moving then" she says, "hop in."

Yamcha, Piccolo, Trunks, Krillin and 18 hop in as Gohan and Goten stay behind.

"We're going to keep them busy out here" Gohan says.

They nod as Cheelai flies the ship tailing behind Tarble who leads them up towards the Big Gete Star.

Writer's Fun Fact:

No more games. No reserves. The Break into Act 3 is over and the climax is near. The silver aura around Cooler was an idea that kinda hints at the color of Meta-Cooler and a "Silver Cooler" without giving the color palette.  It's a way to show Cooler has broken his limits and the potential with him is high without just saying oh here's another transformation for him just because. It's to prove that even now Cooler is increasing in power much like a saiyan would. The others are now getting their moments to shine here and soon once they head into the Big Gete Star. At this point he's even surpassed Broly. I didn't want this story to easily end with Goku and Vegeta fusing and then tada they beat the bad guy and save the day. Goku hints how they can beat him and that's by fighting together. Similar to Jiren however it's gonna take more than just Goku and Frieza (with 17). It's going to take the likes of Broly, Frieza, Vegeta, Goku and one other who will chime in to end Cooler. How they'll do it. Stay Tuned on DBS: Cooler's Wrath.
