Dragon Ball Super: Cooler's Wrath

CHAPTER 19:UNEXPECTED TEAM-UP

Ki blasts flying everywhere, explosions, the ground shakes as echos of fists contacting against one another. Within the streets of the burning city, Frieza and Gohan battle Salza and Neiz who are a formidable tag team. With Salza's tactics and Neiz's immense speed, they're giving the two a really hard time to catch up. Gohan and Frieza stand back to back as Salza and Neiz stand on either side of them, waiting for their next move.

"I'll give it to them" Frieza comments, "they do know how to put up a good fight."

"Yeah," Gohan responds, "we might have to come up with a new strategy to take them on."

Salza begins to walk towards them, igniting his ki blade as Neiz only grins menacingly and doesn't move a muscle. Gohan and Frieza are not intimidated, but they know what's to come when the fight starts again. Gohan figures out a plan.

"We're gonna have to separate them" he says, "as long as they're not together, we should be able to take them on."

Frieza glances at him, wondering if it's really a smart plan to try and decides accept the idea.

"Very well," he says.

The two get into fighting stance and Salza begins to pick up the speed, charging towards them. Gohan transforms into his Ultimate form and wastes no time getting ahead of Salza, clashing in the streets. The two go at it, punching and kicking going through buildings and down the street. Meanwhile, Frieza stands waiting for Neiz to move. In less than a blink of an eye, Neiz appears behind Frieza and is ready to land a punch when Frieza grabs him by the wrist using his tail. Neiz was not expecting that as Frieza tightens his grip.

"Got you."

"Truly" Neiz responds with a grin.

Immediately, Neiz begins to run at immense speed down the street, dragging Frieza through the air, slamming him through each vehicle that's still parked. Neiz then twirls him around in a circle before slamming him right into the side of a building. Frieza was not expecting that and Neiz grips him by the jaw and drags him across the wall to the edge before kicking him down the street. Frieza slams right into a vehicle as Neiz loosens up his body a bit more.

"This is just getting started" Neiz comments.

Meanwhile, Gohan and Salza are fighting and it proves to be evenly matched. Gohan notices Frieza is down and does the Bakuretsu Ranma, a rush attack using a combination of the Masenko and Explosive Demon Wave in which Gohan fires a powerful energy beam with a large sphere at the end. First, Gohan kicks Salza a few times, he then beats them up and kicks them to one side. He holds one hand with the other supporting it upward in a fashion similar to the explosive demon wave and forms an energy sphere with excess energy releasing off of it in the form of medium-sized energy rings. Finally, Gohan brings his hands forward and fires a powerful yellow energy wave, inflicting a lot on Salza unexpectedly. Salza crashes to the ground as Gohan rushes to Frieza's aide as Neiz goes for a critical blow. Gohan kicks Neiz in the leg and roundhouse to the side of his face, sending him flying nearby. He extends his hand out to help Frieza stand but Frieza refuses his help up.

"So much for separating them," Frieza says.

Neiz gets back up and battle damaged from the attack and Salza, also battle damaged flies in beside him to help.

"I think it's time we kick it up a notch" Salza says, "the two do live up to their legacy."

"They can't even work together" Neiz comments.

"Then, we'll use that to our advantage. Let's show them who we really are."

Gohan and Frieza are ready to fight once more as Salza and Neiz prepare themselves. The two stand battle hardened by the many fights they've been through before and are ready for anything that comes next. Salza and Neiz waste no time charging at them.
