At Capsule Corp, Beerus and Whis witness the battle rage on in the distance. The ground continues to shake and ki blasts seen flying everywhere. Bulla giggles while Beerus resumes to play with her.
"It appears this fight proves to be challenging for them, huh Whis" he says.
Whis is too busy eating a sundae to pay attention to him and Beerus notices, staring to get angry.
"Hey!, Was that the one I was saving?!"
Whis is caught in the act and Beerus holds Bulla storming over in frustration at the angel for eating his sundae. Whis has a guilty face on as he places another spoonful in his mouth. Suddenly, a whirl of battle cries can be heard closing in. Beerus and Whis turn to see several soldiers zoning in above them and begin to fire at them. Whis puts a shield around them using his staff in a knick of time as the blasts impact.
"Looks like they're starting to head this way" Whis says.
Bulla sees the blasts and begins to tear up. Beerus notices this and starts to panic.
"No. No. Don't start."
She begins to cry and it's loud, ringing into his ears. He tries to rock her gently to calm her, but it's not working as the soldiers continue to fire outside the shield still closing in. Beerus has no idea what to do as Bulla just won't stop and the blasts outside mixed in ringing into his ear begins to frustrate him. Whis notices this.
"Oh boy."
Beerus gets pissed and lets out a loud scream, shooting out a spam of ki blasts straight at the soldiers that vaporize them instantly. Bulla watches in awe as the brightness of the ki blasts flash in front of her eyes like strobe lights. With all the attackers gone, Beerus takes a deep breath and calms down as Bulla laughs, wanting to see more. Whis looks at the Big Gete Star in the distance as it's drilling into the planet.
"I'm curious as to what that's doing."
Meanwhile, the Z-Fighters stand by the core as it continues to drill. Several tubes begin to merge and start sapping away at the planet's magma.
"Anyone know what's going on?" Krillin asks.
Cheelai steps closer to the edge where she sees the drill has dug very deep into the planet's crusts and the tubes are spreading throughout the inner layer of the mantle.
"This thing's gotta be drawing energy from the planet" she says. She sees the energy attacks coming from the fight raging between Cooler, Goku and Frieza before looking at the others.
"We gotta figure out a way to shut it down."
Broly hears the fight, eager to go help. He looks at Cheelai and she nods at him as he leaps into the air.
Tarble and Vegeta look at the ship and Vegeta prepares to fire an attack.
"It's no use. It has shields up" Tarble informs him.
"What is it doing?"
"It's using the planet as a fuel source to power its core. Once it draws enough energy, it'll emit an energy pulse so strong this planet will be nothing but particles."
Vegeta is worried unsure what to do and Tarble notices this. He steps in front of Vegeta.
"I'll find your friends, maybe we can buy this planet some time."
Tarble flies off as Vegeta flies in an opposite direction towards the main fight a distance away. Cooler slams around Frieza and Goku together as they try to tag team him. Goku and Frieza try their hardest and Cooler overpowers them both. He emits a scatter of death beams into the air in all directions over the water, causing Frieza and Goku to dip and dodge, saving each other's asses when it's a close call. Cooler swipes two fingers and a sparkle emits from the finger tips forming into mini energy shards.
"RAHHHHHHH!"
He flexes his palm and the shards multiply and head directly towards Goku and Frieza like a rain fall of needles. Goku grabs Frieza and instant transmission behind Cooler who senses it and fires a Death Flash to counter.
"No matter how much you try to impress me, I will show no mercy" he says, "till I tear you apart!"
With a flick of a wrist, Cooler raises an energy ball from the water below he was secretly forming.
"When was he creating that?!" Goku shouts.
The energy ball heads straight towards the two and Cooler shoots a death beam at Frieza, knocking him off balance before clothes lining him as Goku is left to fend off the energy ball alone. He slams Frieza into the cliffside and presses his foot into his face before staring at the Big Gete Star proceed to reach the mantle.
Inside the Big Gete Star, Kikono leads the charge of the operation as droids and soldiers operate. He sees the percentage of energy drained from the planet is nearly 45% complete.
Cooler puts pressure down on Frieza, causing him to scream in agony.
"You see this brother? And father thought you was the prodigy."
Suddenly, Broly arrives tackling Cooler and they crash into the water. Frieza catches his breath and sees Goku still struggling to push the energy ball. He rushes over and assists, managing to send it straight towards the Big Gete Star.
Kikono notices and a soldier has panic written all on his face. When the energy ball hits the ship it instantly disappears.
"Not to worry" he says, "this ship is fully equipped to withstand anything."
Meanwhile, Goku and Frieza are catching their breath.
"You're brother is incredible."
"Shut up."
"We have to figure out how to deal with that ship."
Suddenly, the water below them begins to ripple as the ground begins to quake. A whirlpool begins to form and in the center Broly stands across from Cooler. The two clash and waves roar after each punch before the water swallows them in. Goku and Frieza search around for where they could be before nothing another circle of water dissipate and then another and another. Areas of the sea floor can be see where Broly and Cooler clash each time. He punches Cooler out of the water and creates a large sphere of energy, sending it straight at him. Cooler tries to counter by charging straight through it. Broly anticipates it and smacks Cooler a distance away. He catches himself and sees Broly determined and it actually leaves a smile on Cooler's face.
"My, where have you been this whole time" he says, "I'm impressed, very impressed. And you're only in base."
Broly prepares an Eraser Cannon and turns super saiyan. Cooler creates his own energy ball and the two charge straight at each other and begin to rapidly exchange punches left and right, attempting to sneak in ki blasts at close range when they can. Broly manages to get the upper hand and Cooler flies high into the air as Broly follows behind firing several ki blasts at him. Cooler dodges them all and tries to paralyze him with psychokinesis but it only works for a second before Broly breaks free and grabs him in the face and tosses him away. Cooler easily recovers and the two clash.
Meanwhile, Frieza and Goku watch as the battle rages on until Vegeta arrives.
"Glad you could show up Vegeta" Frieza says.
"What's the situation?" he asks.
"Broly's up. They appear to be evenly matched," Goku explains, "that Cooler. He's a piece of work."
Vegeta witnesses Cooler and Broly exchange blows. He looks eager to join in, clenching his fists.

Writer's Fun Fact:
It's been two weeks since the last chapter. I've been busy writing a feature screenplay and a short film along with other projects I had deadlines for. Hope you all are enjoying Christmas Eve (at the moment of posting this on 12/24) I intend to finish out this story soon so expect chapters coming out more frequently now than before. We're starting to see the Big Gete Star is in motion of draining the planet and the heat is rising as Cooler clashes against Goku, Frieza and now Broly.
