Goku and Vegeta tag team Cooler with lots of punches and surprisingly he's holding his own against them. He catches both of their fists before Frieza appears with a kick to his face and Broly firing an Eraser Cannon directly at him. Cooler blocks it in time but gets hit by Vegeta before Frieza strikes alongside Goku. It's four against one and the odds are at a stalemate for Cooler is managing to hold his own against them.
As Frieza fires a death beam at him, Cooler grabs the beam by his finger tip and channels that energy into his fist and unleashes it towards Broly as Goku uses instant transmission to appear behind. Cooler suspects this and easily backhands Goku before dodging Vegeta's attack, grabbing the Saiyan Prince with his tail and hurls him away with a ki blast along with him. Broly strikes next and the two test each other's strength to see who'll get the upper hand. Broly suspects he's overwhelming Cooler but that's not the case when he sees he can't break free of the hold. Cooler begins to laugh as he twists Broly around, overpowering, and knees him in the spine before pulling him by the hair, tossing him towards Goku.
Frieza and Vegeta charge at Cooler on opposite sides and work together. Their punches are fast and prove to keep Cooler on edge but it appears he's amused by it all as he catches each fist they throw.
"Bwahaha. Is this all? Clearly even at your bests, you're no match!" he taunts.
Vegeta and Frieza both kick at the same time catching Cooler off guard. They vanish as Cooler turns around to see Broly fire an Eraser Cannon powered by Goku's kamehameha directly at him. With little to no time to dodge, he uses instant transmission to quickly get out of the way of the blast. The four regroup and see him reappear once more above them.
"That was a clever trick," he retorts, "However, I've think I've had enough. It's time I exterminate you all!"
"We'll see about that!" Vegeta shouts back.
The four charge once more and in one flick of a wrist, Cooler pushes them all back with a gust of wind. Before they could realize, Cooler appears in front of Frieza, gripping tightly at the neck, choking him.
"Look at you. Such a disgrace to our family legacy. I should've dealt with you when we arrived back on Gen. When I kill you, we'll finally see whose strongest in the universe."
"Who cares about your damn legacy!"
Cooler turns to see Vegeta swoop in and save Frieza. He gets hit with a sneak attack and sees Vegeta stand beside Frieza.
"Well isn't this surprising. Prince Vegeta saving the one who destroyed the planet he was destined to rule."
"Shut up. To hell with your so called legacy, Frieza's your brother. nothing should come between the two of you."
Frieza is shocked by those words and responds, "My, My, Vegeta, I never expect you to come back to my aid and defend me."
"I'm not defending you. But, since I have a brother of my own, I'll stop at nothing to protect him. As should the relationship between you two. Fighting each other over a legacy long gone. Open your eyes."
Frieza is stunned by those words and stares at Cooler who is distracted by the thought as well. Vegeta goes on, "Over the years, I've realized many things and I hate to admit it but Kakarot's to blame. My family's legacy lives on in me."
Cooler hesitates on his next move, ready to fire a blast at Vegeta. He slowly stops as Vegeta stands firm between both brothers.
"You have a fair point. However...."
Cooler fires a ki blast at Frieza, sending him towards a building and comes face to face with Vegeta.
"It's become more than a legacy dilemma for me Vegeta. This is about proving a point. Now, what were you saying about stopping at nothing..."
