Walked down the college hallways was the scariest thing I head have done. It was my first day of college so it's expected that you would be nervous but I had a different reason for my fears. Without me knowing I accidentally applied and accept to the UUUM, or Underworld University for Unusual Monsters.

The college looked like a weird cross between gothic architecture and a normal college. The halls were filled with monsters of every kind, from walking skeletons, gelatinous blobs, to sirens. It didn't help that all of them were looking at me as if I was a freak, which to be fair I was the only non monster here. Keeping my head down I rushed to the office to collect my class schedule.

The office was a long walk through the campus and I was uneasy as I tried to hide behind ever pillar or hallway all the way through. I counted my blessings that none of the monsters stopped me or tried to talk to me.

Entering the office it felt like I was entering a dungeon with chains hanging off the walls, although it was well lit with the standard fluorescent bulbs that schools are known for. The receptionist was a large green, what I think was a female, ogre with large tusks and a permanent scowl on her face. I slowly crept up to her, my legs shaking with every step.

"Yea, what do you want?" The ogress spoke with this gravelly voice.

I froze in fear, feeling like I was going to faint before she spoke up.

"What a minute," she said adjusting her glasses as she stared at me.

I can hear my knees rattling as sweat trickled down my face. But to my shock the ogress smiled.

"Oh, your that human everybody is talking about, Y/N L/N!

I shook my head in acknowledgement still unable to move.

"Oh don't worry about anything, your going to love it here!" She then went to an old looked cabinet and opened it with a screech. She then took out a folder and handed it to me.

"Here you go deary. Everything you need for the semester. Good luck." She said smiling before she quickly returned back to her normal scowling face. Weirded out by her sudden facial change I quickly took the folder and left.

As I exited the office I noticed a bulletin board with a bunch of fliers and advertisements. I walked up to it seeing that they was for clubs that was looking for members.

"Eee, your the human I heard about!" Squealed a girl next to me.

I immediately jumped as my heart stopped as I could feel my soul leave my body before I pull it back in as I collected myself. I quickly turned to see what I thought was a chubby girl in a green sweater. She was a cute extremely heavily endowed girl with braces and blue glasses. But as I looked down I saw that her lower half of her body was attached to the body of a spider.

"Oh I'm sorry if I scared you, it just I never seen a human before."

"I-it's alright," as I clutched my chest breathing heavily.

"My name is Velma Green." She said raising her hand to me.

I looked at her hand for a moment before grabbed it, my hand quivering every moment to her hand.

"I'm Y/N L/N."

"Y/N, what a cute name."

I blush.

"Anyway, how is your first day here at the good old UUUM."

"Um, to be honest, frightening."

"I'm so sorry to hear that. Everyone here is so friendly, but I shouldn't blame you, most monsters outside of this school are quite mean."

I became puzzled by her statement.

"Outside of this school?"

"Oh yes, this is a school for unusual monsters, aka nice monsters. That's probably why your here, most humans are quite mean."

I couldn't argue with that.

"By the way, are you interested in joining a club, it is a great way to make friends." She said pointing to the bulletin board.

I looked back at the board scanning it up and down. Most of them were weird clubs like slimeball tryouts, or sewer diving.

"I'm not sure." I said uneasily.

She looked away, blushing a little green, as she handed me a piece of paper from a pile of papers she had hanging over her arm.

"Well, if your interest, I host a club for the study of human entertainment. We just finished a marathon of what the humans called "Anime", and we are now playing a game called "dungeons and dragons". We could always use more members, especially one who is a human."

I took the paper and looked at it. It had the artwork of a bunch of monsters in robes standing around a summoning circle but instead of a demon coming out of it center it was a Nintendo 64.

"I drew that myself." She proudly said.

I continued to look at thinking about how it would be nice to do something familiar at this bizarre and frightening school.

"Ok, looks like fun."

I became surprised as I was immediately hugged by the spider girl. And as quickly as it happened she quickly released her face as green as a plant.

"Um, great, um, our next meeting is this weekend, um, the room number is on the flier." She said as she put some loose hair from her face back around her ear.

"Um bye." She awkwardly smiling as she scurried away.

I just stood there holding the flier watching her crawled onto the ceiling before turning down another hallway.

I looked down at the paper then back up.

"I guess this won't be such as scary as I thought it would be."
