Chapter 37 - Mature

HINDI naging maganda ang huling usapan namin ni Daniella. I was so angry at her for hiring a private investigator to look into my past.

I am confident that they will not find any juicy information about me, but I was so vexed that she might get caught in our crossfire with the Black Abyssal Dragon, especially if his uncle is involved in this organization.

Pagkatapos ng wedding ni Hunter at ni Nika, kahit late na ay bumalik ako sa unit ko kung nasaan si Daniella. I want to apologize for being tactless and for being inconsiderate with her feelings, but she is nowhere to be found. I want to follow her in Hawaii the same night, but our big mission will be tomorrow evening. I will be Hunter and Nika's back-up and I am in-charge of their extraction. All of us have a key role to play in this mission.

"Hunter, Ichiro believes that this is the largest drug laboratory of the Black Abyssal Dragon. He thinks that aside from drugs, this is where they are hiding their wealth," sabi ko kay Hunter habang inaayos ang kanyang bulletproof vest.

"Wealth? You mean may limpak limpak na pera sa laboratory na 'yan?"

"Davien may be referring to smuggled jewelries and paintings na sa black market lang binebenta. Tama ba?" tanong ni Nika habang inaayos naman niya ang mga baril na naka-strap sa legs niya.

"That is right. The laboratory that you will attack tonight is the most secured of them all. Hindi na ako magtataka kung kahit ang golden statue ni Yamashita ay nasa loob ng underground facility na 'yan. Expect the worst. Their finest assassins are probably there. Make sure na walang madadamay na mga workers. Big Boss considered them as innocent. They were just being used by the Black Abyssal Dragon."

"Davien, I am not worried about their assassins. Hunter and I can easily kill them. Worried ako sa police force natin. Ayokong magkaroon ng casualty sa side nila," sabi ni Nika.

Both Nika and Hunter look physically and mentally prepared. Kapag may mission, both of them are damn serious about it. It is like they are transforming to someone else, both are in their best and beast mode right now.

"Nika, unlike our other missions, this will be released in public as the leaders of the Black Abyssal Dragon will be put into trial. Senator Gustavo and his colleagues are already involved. The people need to know the filth that they are hiding. Kailangan matanggal ang mga katulad nila sa pwesto."

"Nasabi mo na ba ito kay Dany?" nag-aalala na tanong ni Nika.

Umiling lang ako kay Nika. Senator Gustavo may be a high ranking official of Black Abyssal Dragon, pero hindi pa rin namin alam kung sino si The Black Dragon at si The Red Dragon, ang mga leaders ng sindikatong ito. I think Ichiro and Big Boss already have a idea, pero hindi pa sila sigurado.

Naalala ko na naman na iniwan ako ni Daniella papunta sa Hawaii. I will ask Ichiro for a few days vacation leave after this mission. I really need to speak with her.

"Bro, follow your heart. Minsan ka lang mabubuhay, doon ka sa kung kanino ka masaya. As long as hindi ka nakakatapak ng tao, sundin mo kung anong gusto ng puso mo," sabi ni Hunter sabay tapik sa likod ko nang mapansin niya na natulala ako.

"Tama si Hunter. Kung mahal mo si Dany, ipaglaban mo. We are living in our dark world for the longest time. We also deserve to be happy. We are not monsters, Davien. We are also humans," dagdag ni Nika.

A very mature advice coming from two immature assassins. I know both of them as my childish colleagues, but their words are the only thing that makes sense right now.

Isa lang ang alam ko, masaya ako na kasama si Dany and I want to be with her after this mission.
