Chapter 2

Where

Lila's POV:
My eyes slowly peel open as I feel my body aching from having to sleep on the wooden floor. It was a girls night in so myself, Maddie, Emily, Millie and Sadie all stayed around mine for the night. We have had a few drinks, I think. I'm not sure who drank what or how might quite frankly I just know that my body's not too happy about it. I lift my back up off the floor and scan the room as best as I could. I rub my eyes to get a better view at the dark room and giggle at the sight of Millie half on and half off, asleep on the sofa. I search around and find my phone to check the time.
"‪2:45am‬. What the fuck." I think as I roll my eyes and continue to unlock my phone.
I turn my flash the phone flashlight on to get a better look at everyone.
"Maddie, Millie, Emily and Sa-" I cut myself off when I realise.
"Where the fuck is Sadie?" I mumble to myself.
I stand up and walk over Emily's asleep body, and make my way to the bathroom, to check if she's there.
Nope. Not there.
I brush it off, and continue to walk into the kitchen.
Not there either.
"Where is she?" I sighed.
I walk back into the living room and make my way over to Maddie, who is asleep on the singular cushioned chair.
"Mads," I shake her shoulders softly to try wake her up.
"Maddie!"
"Ughhh what!" She groaned, slapping away one of my arms.
"Have you seen Sadie?" I asked her, sternly.
"What? S-Sadie?" She responds confused.
"Yes Sadie. I can't fine her anywhere!" I hissed back at her.
Maddie finally wakes up and gives me a tired, but worried expression.
"Have you checked the bat-"
"Yes I've checked the bathroom, and the kitchen." I say as I go and sit on the coffee table, opposite Maddie's chair.
"Shit." Maddie whispers to herself.
"Have you tried ringing? Or snap maps?" She yawns.
"Fuck. I'll check her Snapchat now."
I walk back over to my 'bed' and open my phone onto snap maps. I go to her snap and check her location.
"Hawkins Emergency Hospital." What the fuck is she doing there.
"Well, anything?" Maddie asks me.
"She's uh-" My mind begins to wander in worry as I question on why my best friend would be at the hospital. ‪At 2:50am‬.
"We'll spit it out." Maddie snaps.
I roll my eyes at her bitchy response.
"She's at the hospital." I look up to see Maddie's eyes widen.
"W- what?!" She whispers a bit louder.
I stand up and search for my keys before grabbing Maddie's wrist and walking out the door.
"Wait, what about-"
"I'll text them." I say sternly.
I knew she was talking about Emily and Mills, it's fine they're fast asleep. They probably won't even notice that we're gone.
