Forever Thinking Fondly Of You
Finn's POV:
My stomach drops and my fists tense up hearing what Sadie just told me.
"A- are you serious?" My voice shakes.
Sadie puts her head down, before lifting the bottom of her, my, hoodie. Her bruised abdomen is what I saw maybe just 10 minutes ago. I thought maybe she got into a fight at school as, she can be like that sometimes. But Caleb?
"Why the fuck are you still with him!" I raise my voice in anger.
I'm not angry at Sadie. Fuck no am I mad at Sadie I could never be mad at her. I'm mad at Caleb.
"I- I'm sorry," She nervously stutters, ruffling the jumper back over her stomach.
"No Sadie, I'm sorry" I rub my face with my hands.
She stands there, staring at the floor. Crying.
"I'm scared to leave him." Her voice small, but still loud enough for me to hear.
I take a breath in. I feel so bad for her. She's had to deal with this for god knows how long now and I've had no idea.
"How long has this been going on for?" my voice flat so I don't scare her more then I already have.
"Um m- maybe like..." she looks up, wiping her tears with the cuff off her jumper.
I look up at her with a blank, but also sympathetic expression.
"T- two months." She stutters, fiddling with the jumper strings and trying to avoid eye contact as much as possible.
"Two fucking months." I say under my breath in anger.
I run my hands through my hair and slowly turn back over to my back, looking up at the roof.
"Do you know why?" I ask, not looking at the poor girl.
"Why what?" Her voice croaky from crying so much.
"Why he hits you..."
"Oh right, well it all started,"
Sadie flashback POV:
It's 12:30am and Caleb still hasn't come back from the bar. I'm worried sick and he hasn't answered any of his calls.
I pace around my living room, my phone held tightly in my hand. I check it every five seconds to see if I get just any response from him. I decide to sit down on my single sofa chair, my leg bouncing anxiously as I stare at the door handle.
Minutes that felt like hours pass as I pray he comes through that door. I take my eye off to text him again, but then I hear the door handle rattling. I jump out of my chair and make my way over to the door.
His drunk body slumps through the door.
"Heyyy baby." He drunkly slurs.
I'm sick of him doing this. Leaving and coming back completely shitfaced. I'm fucking over it.
"Where the fuck have you been!" I yell at him.
His face turns from being shocked to anger. My heart starts beating faster than ever as he stumbles over to me.
"I- I'm sorry I didn-" and just like that.
The first punch. I wince in pains as I grab my stomach.
"W- what was that for?" my voice shaky as I try my best to stick up for myself.
'For being a bitch. You dirty slag! Never yell at me like that again or you'll be expecting a lot worse!" He screams whilst walking upstairs into our room.
I could smell the alcohol in his breath from a mile away. I watch I'm go upstairs and into our room. I slowly make my way over to the couch and just start sobbing. Quietly, so Caleb doesn't here.
"I miss you." I say under my breath.
"I miss Finn."
