Mea culpa

Finn's POV:

My eyelids flutter open. My head throbs like a loud drum in my head. I try lifting my hands to rub my eyes but somethings on my right hand. No. it's not.

"S- Sadie?" I whisper.

I didn't want to wake her, but I kind of wanted my hand back. Her fingers are interlaced with mine as her head rests just past my forearm. I smile at the strawberry blonde girl as I run my left hand through her hair. She starts to move her head a little, before waking up and looking up at me.

She stares at me with a shocked expression before bursting into tears and wrapping her arms around my limp body.

"Hey hey hey, what's wrong?" I asked concerned.

I don't think I've even seen Sadie cry this much before.

"I'm so sorry. I'm- this is all my fault." She whispers through her sobs.

"Sadie..." I don't know why she's thinking this is her fault. I hadn't even seen her in months before this happened.

"I could've been there. I could've stopped it." Her voice cracks as she pulls away from the hug and looks at me.

"Sadie listen, none of this is your fault." I say stern so she knows I'm being serious.

"But-"

"No." I cut her off before she keeps putting the blame on herself.

It goes silent for a couple minutes. I stare at the faulty light in the ceiling as it flickers. I turn and look at Sadie. She's fiddling with the jumper cords hanging from the hood of the jumper. Wait.

"Is that m- my jumper?" I ask with a smile.

She looks up. She looks worried almost.

"Y- yeah." She stutters.

"I-I'm sorry you can have it back." She speaks awfully quick.

"Sadie." I say trying to stop her, but she didn't here.

"Sadie!" I say a lot louder.

She freezes and looks at me. Dead in the eyes.

"Keep it."

"A-are you sure?" The jumpers just lifted over stomach.

Finn gasps in shock.

"Sadie."

"Oh Fuck." She thought.

"Y-your stomach..." Finn stutters.
