Descendants 4: Is it happily ever after?

Chapter 44

Right in front of the hotel, on Christmas day, time's about eight in the morning...

"We are at a hotel?! With what is that helping to find Mal, Evie, and Doug?" Ben mumbled. "Jane, you sure that you said the right spell?"

"I'm sure. Just trust the magic, okay? We all know you're worried but that doesn't mean you have to spread negative energy around."

"Yep, Jane's right. Now, get out of the car." Carlos said.

Meanwhile, Evie was looking through the window...

"Maybe waiting till the end of the holidays isn't going to be that hard. How much time has passed since the last time I checked?" she asked. "I have a feeling it was at least an hour!"

Doug looked at his watch. "Don't wanna disappoint you but it's been...five minutes and forty-three seconds." the blue-haired girl sighed.

"Admit it guys, this is going to..." Mal started but was interrupted by Evie's scream.

"They're here!" she squeaked happily.

"Who?"

"Jane, Ben..." this is all Mal needed to hear. She ran down the stairs as fast as she could and opened the door, immediately hugging her husband.

"I've missed you so much!" the purple-haired girl said and kissed him. He kissed back and they stayed like that for a minute.

Jay cleared his throat. "We're still here guys!" the couple broke the kiss and Mal mumbled something like 'yeah sure'.

"Just to clarify things, you have a car, right?" the purple-haired girl asked. They nodded. "That's great! I think Doug and Evie are coming in a minute."

"Oh, I forgot to ask you. Where's Lonnie?" Evie asked when all were in the car.

"She had to drive Audrey to Auradon's jail."

"Do my ears hear Auradon's jail? Oh my, you had to film this! It must have been amazing! I meant..." Mal said making a bit of a pause thinking what to say to be a little less rude. "I meant...oh, you know I meant what I meant!"

The next four hours the seven people were driving back home.

"Ah! Can't believe I'm saying this but I've missed this place!" Mal said happily when she got out of the car.

"Me too." Evie agreed. "Wait, what's that?" the blue-haired girl asked staring at the big Christmas tree in the schoolyard. "You said you haven't decorated the tree."

"We haven't," Jane said.

"But I did." Lonnie told the amazed people. "After I drove Audrey to the jail I had some free time, so,  I decorated the tree." she said. "Hey, Jay!" then they kissed.

"We're gone for less than 24 hours and we miss every announcement that we waited for! Seriously?" Mal said disappointed.

"Talking about announcements, Doug and I have something to tell you..." Evie started. "...I'm pregnant!"

There were a lot of cheers. Mal hugged Evie once again, no matter she knew already. Uma and Harry came too. "What are we celebrating?" the girl asked.

"I'm pregnant."

"Congrats girl!" Uma told and hugged Evie. "Bal and Devie babies, huh?"

"Yup," Mal said. "Now, let's get this party started!"
