Chapter 62

(Time skip - a week)

Everything was in order now. Mal and Evie were again living with their husbands. Jane and Carlos rented a small house with Jay and Lonnie until they can buy some other place. And Uma and Harry made a good deal with Fairy Godmother, so she let them have one of Auradon Prep's dorms.

At Mal and Ben's castle.

"...And done with the wall painting for today!" Ben told his wife.

"Ha, look at us! We are almost ready with the baby nursery!" Mal said staring at the almost done purple wall and put the paint roller carefully in the paint bucket. "Few more days and we'll finish it."

"I love you." Ben said and kissed her. Then the baby kicked. The couple giggled. "I love you too." he said at her belly.

"I'm about 32 weeks pregnant, so that means baby Bean will be here soon."

"Are you still calling her Bean?"

"Yup. My body, my nickname."

"I suppose."

Same evening (more like night) at 2 in the morning.

Mal felt sharp pain tear through her stomach. "Ben! Wake up!" she said. He was still sleeping. "Ben! Benjamin Florian Beast! Wake up!" she yelled.

"Oh my! What's going on? Why are you screaming in the middle of the night?" he asked sleepily.

"I think I'm in labor."

"Isn't it early? Like this might be false labor..." the boy tried to say but a trickle of water went down Mal's leg.

"Nope. Definitely, my water broke!"

"Umm, what do I do?! What should I do?! The baby's coming!" Ben panicked.

"Okay, stop freaking out and give me my phone!" he followed her instructions. Mal typed Evie number. "Come on! Pick up the stupid phone!" she mumbled and called once more. The blue-haired girl finally picked up.

E: "M, what's going on?! What's so important at two in the middle of the night?!"

M: "My water broke. I'm in labor!"

E: "Oh my god, hold up I'm at the castle in a minute!"

M: "Sure. I'll try."

*hangs up*

Soon after that Evie arrived. "I'm so glad you're here!" Mal said hugging her.

"Me too. Now, where are the keys to the car?" she replied. Ben gave them to the girl. "M, can you walk?"

"I think I'll handle it to the car." Evie nodded.

"Good. Everybody move! We need to give birth to a baby!"

In the car.

"Why can't I drive?" Ben asked.

"Because you're a nervous wreck!" Evie replied.

"But..."

"Buts are for sitting, now shut up!"

"You know that's bad language! Also, how much are you over the speed limit? It's illegal to drive like that!"

"Say one more thing and you're dead!" Evie shouted.

"OKAY! BOTH OF YOU STOP! AS YOU SEE I'M THE ONLY ONE IN LABOR HERE AND CAN YOU HEAR ME COMPLAINING? NO, RIGHT? NOW, CLOSE YOUR MOUTHS!" Mal yelled tired of Ben and Evie's fight. During the rest of the ride, Ben has called the others to inform them that Mal's having the baby. Now they were all waiting for them in the hospital.
