(Time skip - about a week)
It's February 17th - Evie's birthday. Mal had already planned everything about her best friend's surprise party and almost everything was ready. The plans were Jane to keep Evie until all the details are done, away from one room of the school where was the party.
"Hey, M, you know what day it is?" Evie asked giving Mal one more chance to remember her birthday.
"Um...it's Monday, isn't it?" this made the blue-haired girl so sad.
'Is this what I get for more than ten years of friendship with her? She forgets my birthday.' Evie told herself. Now she just wanted to cry while eating ice cream.
"You look upset! Something wrong?" Mal knew what was the case but didn't want to ruin the surprise. "Hey, we must go to class. We're already late!"
"Since when do you care about classes?" the girl asked.
"Since forever. Let's go!" Mal said and took her bag.
Soon after they went there Jane joined the operation. "Evie! Hi! You're just the one I need!" she almost shouted with visible fake excitement. The purple-haired girl gave her a sign to act a bit more normal. Jane slightly nodded. "So, I've been wondering if you would like..."
"See you later!" Mal said and Jane winked.
"Where were we? Oh yeah, I have a really important question - Do you prefer carrot cake or pumpkin pie?" the daughter of Fairy Godmother asked. Evie sighed and started giving her an answer.
Meanwhile, Mal ran as fast as she could which wasn't that fast (judging that she's six months pregnant) and went to the schoolroom where the party was going to be. She opened the door. "Great job, guys! This place looks amazing!" she said looking around.
"Is everything else okay - presents, cards...the cake? Where is the cake actually?" Mal asked worriedly.
"Don't look at me!" Dude who was there said.
The purple-haired girl stared at Carlos's face. "Carlos! You ate the cake!"
"No, I didn't!" he tried to deny while removing chocolate from his mouth.
"How could you?! I have to eat for two and I won't do that!"
"Okay, okay, chill!"
"Doug, go and get another cake ASAP!"
"Why can't I?" Carlos suggested.
"I'm pretty sure you'll eat the new one as well."
"Where can I find a cake in the last minute?" Doug asked.
"I'll call Mrs. Potts! Let's go!" Ben said.
"Jay, you go and make sure that this trouble maker is full of food!" Mal ordered pointing at Carlos. He mumbled something and the two went with Dude following to the cafeteria. "Hi, girls! Ugh, I'm pissed off," she said when finally got to see Lonnie and Uma.
"Don't worry! Everything will be fine. I guess." Lonnie told her calmly.
"I know just Evie turns eighteen only once. And I want every little thing to be perfect!"
Meanwhile...
"And you know..." Jane was talking without stopping for about 15 minutes and Evie was getting tired. Suddenly a strange man came to the girls.
"Hello, Evelyn, right?" he asked.
"Yeah, also known as Evie. Who are you?" the blue-haired girl said.
"I'm your father."
