Chapter 52

Mal and Evie were still hugging each other when they heard a familiar voice from above. All the girls started listening carefully.

"That's it! We're here!"

"Wait, why is there a whole? Do you think someone was here before us?" another one said. Those were Hades and Ben's voices. Soon after that Doug came in the basement.

"Oh my God! Evie, you're okay! I was so worried!" he said and kissed her.

"I missed you, too." she said and kissed back. Then the whole other group entered the room. "Can't you wait a bit? You're ruining the romantic moment!" Evie mumbled.

"Nope. We were made to ruin all your romantic moments." Jay joked. The blue-haired girl giggled.

"Your point."

"Wait, Jane, Mal. What are you doing here?" Ben asked. "Weren't you supposed to be having rest at your dorm? And did you fly?"

"Does it matter?" Ben gave her a look. "In my defense, Jane and I did your job and made it much faster!"

"Mal, I'm just worried about you."

"I know, I know. Just the fact that you think I'm a five year old which can't look after itself drives me crazy."

"Fine. I might have been too overprotective," the boy said and kissed her. "But it doesn't change the fact that I'm right most of the time." Mal chuckled.

"What are we going to do with her?" Uma said pointing at the Evil Queen.

"Well..." Evie started. "I think I have some ideas in mind."

"But first, I suggest going back to Auradon Prep," Carlos said.

"Yeah, I agree." Jane responded.

"And I suggest getting a car. You know, walking's tiering." Lonnie told the group. "Plus it's too small in here let's get out!" all the others nodded.

"Guys, do you know why I asked you for the date so much?" the blue-haired girl asked when they were back in Auradon.

"Temporary amnesia?" Jay said jokingly. Evie gave him an angry look.  "Kidding, kidding!"

"Oh my God, I forgot all about it!" Mal suddenly screamed. "Come, E! Follow me!" she told her sister holding her hand and running to the room where the party was. The others followed. They got there and Mal slowly started to open the door. "I know it's a bit late but...Happy 18th birthday!"

"You knew?!" Evie squeaked when she saw that there was a party for her. Mal nodded.

"Of course! How can I forget?" her sister gave her a hug. "Still, this all started because I wasn't invited to your fifth birthday party." The blue-haired girl giggled.

"Actually, yeah!"

Doug cleared his throat. "I was helping with this too. Won't I get a kiss?" she chuckled and kissed him.

"You know what I learned? Life's just way too short and there are too many kidnappings to just wait for your 'husband' to come back. I'll find a way to get divorced sooner." the boy smiled. "Now, let's get this party started!" Evie said and there were few laughs and some cheers.
