Mal knocked on Ben's office.
"Come in," he said while doing paperwork. The purple-haired girl went inside.
"Hi, Ben." she started. "You missed the doctor's appointment."
"Oh, hey Mal!" the boy lifted his head from the papers. "No, I haven't. It's on Friday."
"Ben, we are Friday."
"No, we're not."
"Yes, we are." Mal showed the day on her phone.
"Oh Mal, I'm so sorry!"
"Ben, I have to ask you something. Do you really love me or you just pretend that you care?"
"Of course I love you, why would you think something else?"
"Because you're never with me and because you're so busy that I can barely see you and because we're not even sharing a bedroom and you don't know what morning sickness is... Ben, I'm carrying your child!"
"Wow, take it easy."
"Easy?! You think it's easy?! Are you the 17-year old who is pregnant? Are you the one who has to deal with pregnancy symptoms, school, being the queen, and pretending to be just fine when the person who has to support her is not even trying to see or help her? Are you, huh?" Mal shouted at Ben. "I don't think so. We're married Ben! You promised me that we are going to do this together! And now, you're not even there for me when I need you. I can't do this on my own! I just can't do this anymore!" she said and left slamming the door behind her.
"Mal, wait! I'll change! I'll clear my schedule!" Ben tried to catch his wife, but it was too late. She was already gone. "Why do I always mess up so badly?!"

Mal sat by the enchanted lake and lost track of time. It was already 12 p.m. when Lonnie crossed by.
"Mal? What's happening? Have you been crying? And why are you here at midnight?"
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"Come on, I'm your friend you can tell me."
"First you answer my question - What are you doing here at midnight?"
"Promise me you won't tell anyone."
"I promise."
"I was on a date with Jay." Lonnie waited for Mal's reaction, but her face was still the same. "You aren't surprised?"
"No, not really. Evie ships you and Jay since your first date. And so do I."
"Now, it's your turn to tell me what's going on."
"Okay, let's just say that my world is crumbling. First I got into a fight with Evie, then Ben missed my doctor's appointment and then we argued about that he's always busy and I need him to help me and I think it's my fault."
"I think that you're right in the situation, I mean there will always be a lot of work, but he has a pregnant wife to care about. And if he can't realize that you're more important than a council meeting or some paperwork, then he is an asshole who doesn't deserve you."
"Thanks, Lonnie," Mal said and hugged the girl.
"Now, I think Evie will be actually very happy to see you."
"Really?"
"Yeah, your fights always end up you both crying and saying sorry cuddled next to each other."
"I want to say something else, but that is the truth." both girls laughed.
"Now, let's go, because it's already dark and you look tired."
