We all scrambled out the car and into the house.
My blood boiled at the site in front of me.
'Get. Away. From. My. Baby!' I said through gritted teeth.
‘That’s not very nice she is my granddaughter.’ My mum replied stroking Lillie’s cheek as she slept. I scoffed at that.
‘I suggest you give Ellie our child.’ Nathan said warningly.
‘Ahh so your Lillie’s dad, surprised Tom didn’t hurt you.’ Mum chuckled to herself.
Oh he did. I thought to myself.
‘Give me Lillie!’ I said again staring at the women I had to call mother.
‘I thought I raised my kid better than this only 21 with a three year old kid.’ My mum said ignoring me.
‘You lost the right of being my mum when you abandoned me!’ I said exasperated.
‘How dare you say that!’ She scolded.
‘No, how dare you come in here, playing happy families with my daughter, you were never a mother to me, oblivious to the obvious bruises and scars but no you didn’t stop it and you just abandoned me when you found it out it was true. I was left for half a year in that house by myself until Tom came home, so give me back my daughter and get the hell out of here.’ I shouted accidentally waking Lillie up.
‘Mumma.’ Lillie called out fully waking up.
‘It's okay Lils.’ I said to her.
Tom walked forward towards our mum.
'Mum, hand me Lillie.' Tom said calmly.
Mum slowly handed Lillie to Tom.
'Ellie, I'm so so-' she started.
'Don't just don't.' I spat.
'Just go back to France or wherever.' I shrugged taking my little girl from Tom.
I heard the door slam and sighed in relief.
'Thank you Tom.' I side hugged him.
'Nath, we have to go back to the meeting.' Tom mentioned.
'I'll stay here with Lils.' I smiled kissing Nathan's cheek.
They headed off locking the door behind them. I cuddled up with Lillie on the sofa, slowly falling asleep.
*Nathan’s p.o.v*
The meeting lasted ages, we had to leave to go to America, the boys and I decided that if the girls all stayed together they would prefer it so they were all coming over to ours while we were in America for the month.
Once it was over I drove home.
Walking into the living room I saw Ellie asleep with Lillie lying next to her.
‘Daddy, I’m hungry.’ Lillie said getting off the sofa and coming towards me.
Uh oh, my cooking skills aren’t up too much. Hopefully beans on toast will be alright.
‘Come on then.’ I smiled picking her up kissing her cheek. I sat her down on the counter as I cooked beans and toast for all of us. Lillie watching me swinging her legs back and forth.
