"Shit!" Woozi cursed when one of the villagers struck him with a spear.
"Die, you vile creature!" the villager spat.
Woozi pulled the spear out and tossed it aside. "I bet you heard rumors that we'd die from silver, huh? Too bad this isn't silver." He walked closer to the villager, his fangs protruding.
The villager, trembling, fell to the ground. In a split second, Woozi drained his blood until the last drop.
"Yah, Woozi! Hurry up!" Jeonghan called out.
Woozi wiped the leftover blood from the corner of his lips with the back of his hand before heading over to Jeonghan.
"Hyung, where are the others?" Woozi asked, panting.
"I'm not sure, but we need to find them as soon as possible. You know how furious Mingyu is with his mother," Jeonghan replied.
"And you know she won't stop until they kill that human, right?" Woozi responded.Jeonghan sighed heavily. "They're all so stubborn."
Woozi sighed too. "Come on." He led the way.
"Where's Mingyu?" S.Coups asked Jun.
"I don't know," Jun answered.
Just then, a young man blocked their path. "You can't go any further," he warned, holding a long-handled pair of shears.
"Listen, young man, we're trying to save your village," S.Coups explained.
"Save my ass!" the young man spat. "I'm not going to believe a single word you say." He glared at them. "You creatures attacked us first! You're nothing more than vile monsters. Get off this earth, you freaki—"
The young man's head suddenly rolled to the ground. Jun looked at his blood-covered hand before licking the delicious blood. "It's not my fault, young man. This is our nature. We told you we're trying to save your village, didn't we?" Jun said, looking at the head.
"That's enough. Let's go," S.Coups said, dragging him along.
"Mom, can you please stop all this?! Forgive Dad and let's go home!" Mingyu pleaded with his mother.
"Forgive him?! He betrayed us, Mingyu! He betrayed me! I loved him, and yet he married another woman! He married a human!" His mother cried out in rage.
"Mom, Dad is gone! Your henchmen killed him! What more do you want?!" Mingyu yelled.
"I won't stop until I see his corpse right in front of me!" she screamed.
Mingyu raised his hands to attack his mother. "Not a chance, Kim Mingyu." She attacked him first.
"Mingyu, watch out!" Wonwoo pushed him aside, taking the hit from his mother's attack.
Mingyu looked at him worriedly, "Yah, Jeon Wonwoo," he called. Wonwoo stood up with an injured arm.
"Next time, I won't miss. You and your friend can die. I don't need you!" his mother hissed, ready to attack again.
Mingyu closed his eyes, clenching his fists. "I'm sorry, Mom." He opened his eyes and focused on her hand. Suddenly, her hand snapped in two. She let out a loud, painful shriek as her severed hand fell to the ground and was engulfed in flames.
"Kim Mingyu! You useless son!" she cursed.
Mingyu glared at her, "I don't mind if you kill me, but hurting my friend? That, I can't forgive." He clenched his fists tightly, trying to hold back his anger.
"You better die!" she screamed one last time before Mingyu finally chopped off her head.He panted heavily, his mother's head rolling over and stopping right in front of S.Coups.
"Mingyu," S.Coups said, looking at him.
"Hyung," Dino said sadly, looking at him.
Mingyu kept his head down. "Everyone's dead, huh?"
Minghao looked around. "Seems like it."
Mingyu's expression hardened. "Let's go home. The sun's almost up," he said, and everyone nodded in agreement.
As they were leaving, they heard a faint cry.
Seungkwan stopped immediately. "I heard that."
"What?" Hoshi asked.
"Someone's crying," DK said.
"That's impossible. Didn't everyone die?" Joshua asked.
"We should check it out. Is that okay?" Wonwoo looked at Mingyu, who nodded.
The boys scattered, searching for the source of the crying.
Vernon began moving a pile of dead bodies. As he lifted them one by one, the crying grew louder and clearer.
Finally, he uncovered the source of the crying—a baby.
"Guys!" Vernon shouted, and immediately, twelve young men surrounded him.
"Look what I found," he pointed. Seungkwan gasped. "It's a baby." He tried to pick the baby up, but the crying only grew louder.
"Even babies hate you," DK teased him before attempting to pick up the baby himself, only to meet the same result.
"Let me," Mingyu volunteered.
He carefully cradled the baby, and to everyone's amazement, the baby stopped crying and simply looked up at him.
"How did you do that?" Jeonghan asked. Mingyu shrugged twice, signaling he had no idea how it happened.
"What should we do with the baby?" Jun asked.
"I think we should just leave it here," S.Coups suggested.
"And then what? Let it die?" Dino protested.
"I say we take it home," Mingyu answered.
"Excuse me?" Minghao looked at him in surprise.
Hoshi turned to him. "You realize this baby is human, right? We're vampires, Mingyu. We know nothing about humans," Hoshi reminded him.
"Still..."
"Don't tell me you're feeling guilty. Is that why..." Woozi looked at him, and Mingyu didn't respond, only pressing his lips into a thin line.
"Coups?" Joshua looked at the leader. S.Coups looked sternly at the boys. "Do what you want. I don't want anything to do with that baby," he said before walking away.
"Nice!" Seungkwan said softly as he cradled the baby.
The baby kept its gaze fixed on Mingyu, unblinking.
"What should we name it?" Joshua asked.
"I don't mind. I can't wait until it grows up. We can take showers together. How fun is that?" Dino said excitedly.
Wonwoo walked over to Mingyu and lifted the cloth covering the baby slightly.
"Uhm, sorry to disappoint you, Dino, but you can't do that," Wonwoo said.
"But why?" Dino asked, looking disappointed.
"This baby is a girl," Mingyu informed them.
"WHAT?!"
