Haneul was preparing food in the kitchen when someone came and ruffled her hair messily. She looked up, "Jun oppa!" she pouted. "I work hard to tie my hair neatly." Jun giggled, "I'm sorry. Come, let me fix it for you." Jun tied her hair neatly. "So I heard you found your power." He said and she nodded. "I can control wind." "That's awesome, really." Jun smiled widely. "You know, S.Coups hyung wants us to train you use your power." Jun said.
She looked at him in surprise. "Do I have too? The last time I use my power, I hurt S.Coups oppa. What if I hurt you too?" she looked at him in worry. "We'll be ready by then." Jun patted her head.
Haneul sighed, "When do I start?" she asked him. "Tonight and I'll be your first trainer." Jun smiled. She nodded, "Sounds great." "So after dinner?" he asked her. She nodded, "Sure, oppa."
Jun and Haneul walked into the forest. Woozi looked at them from his room. "Off they go. Will they be okay?" he asked. "They should be." Mingyu answered. Woozi turned to face him. "So how's thing between you and your sister?" he asked. Mingyu pressed his lips into thin lines. "Good."
"Hmm? Doesn't look good to me. What's wrong?" Woozi went to him and sat on his studio chair. Mingyu let out a sigh as he leaned against Woozi's sofa bed. "We talked...about us...well, she asked a lot about dad, about mom and about Miso." Mingyu answered. "What's wrong with that?" Woozi looked at him. "I don't know much about Miso." "Then just tell her what you know, Kim Mingyu. Don't make things complicated. I'm sure she just wants to make herself comfortable around you." Woozi said. Mingyu just let out a sigh.
"That reminds me. Do you really don't know someone relates to her mother?" Woozi asked. Mingyu shook his head. Woozi frowned in puzzle, "It's quite amazing that she has an element power." "I know. She needs to be a pureblood to have it." Mingyu answered. They both fall into deep thought about the matter.
Haneul and Jun decided to go home before dawn. Haneul threw herself on the couch as soon as she entered the house. Her body was covered in sweat and she was short of breath. "You're okay?" Jun looked calm but beads of sweat were visible on his face.
Haneul nodded, "I'm good just tired." Jun giggled, "That's normal. But princess, you only use a little of power today. You might face worst with others." Jun said to her. She groaned.
"You're home." Jeonghan appeared from the kitchen with a glass of water and he handed it to Haneul. She gladly took it, "Thank you oppa." She gulped down the water in one shot. Jeonghan turned to Jun. "So how is she?" he asked. Jun nodded. "She's a natural. She just knew what to do. However it's empty-hand combat. Nothing heavy for today. Just taught her few techniques to dodge an attack and how to attack. I can say she mastered it all in one night." Jun reported.
Jeonghan nodded. "I suggest you and Minghao to train her periodically since two of you are our best member in empty-hand combat. Will that be okay?" Jeonghan asked and Jun nodded, "No problem with me, sir."
Jeonghan turned back to Haneul and she was already sleeping on the couch. "Now, we need to take this princess back to her room." "Is it okay? S.Coups hyung said not to touch her." Jun was worried. "Don't worry. I'll tell him. You bring her to bed okay?" Jeonghan looked at Jun and he nodded.
Weeks passed by and Haneul is getting better with her skills. The males would take turn to train her. She is now capable to form a stable wind shield around herself. During her training, she managed to create a wind ball just like how S.Coups did. She also can control the speed of wind according to her will. Everything was perfect, is what she thought.
While everyone else is helping Haneul with her power, S.Coups was stuck with books. He still couldn't figure out how Haneul can have an element power. The only conclusion he can make is she has to be from pureblood line. To him, it is impossible since she's the daughter of the Kim's family. Other than her mother Miso, S.Coups has no other clues on how to solve it.
S.Coups was still looking at he family hierarchy when he heard knocks on the door. "Come in."
Haneul walked in with a cup of hot chocolate. "S.Coups oppa?" S.Coups looked up once he heard the voice. "Haneul! How can I help you?"
Haneul nestled him, "I haven't see you much these few days. So I thought I just drop by. Here." Haneul placed the coffee on the table. "Thank you." He pulled the cup closer and took a small sip.
"S.Coups oppa, are you okay?" Haneul asked. He nodded, "Why?" "You look troubled." Haneul told him. "No, I'm fine." S.Coups answered. She just nodded, "Okay. I should leave then. Good night, oppa." Haneul turned around and walked out from his reading room.
Haneul returned to her room. She sighed, "Should I tell oppa about my dream?" she asked herself. She then remembered how tired S.Coups looked. She shook her head, "No, no. I've troubled him enough. Besides it's not a bad dream. Maybe it's because I'm tired." She sighed. Haneul climbed onto her bed and pulled the cover.
Haneul was in the kitchen, eating her cereal. She kept staring into spaces. "That old man...somehow felt so close to me... but I don't know him." She talked to herself. Her thought suddenly drove to her mother, Miso. *I don't remember her.* she sighed. She then looked at herself. "Mingyu oppa did tell me about how vampire grew up...but do I look any different?" she asked herself.
"You know princess, you should really stop talking to yourself. You have us. So why don't you ask us?" a voice asked.
She turned around, "Hoshi oppa." Hoshi was walking towards her and took a seat next to her. "Your cereal...it's soggy..." Hoshi said. Haneul looked at her bowl and sighed, "You're right. I should stop talking to myself." "So what is it? I heard you were talking about vampire growth?" Hoshi asked her.
She nodded. "I'm just curious. You guys told me that when you found me, aunt Sofia is already a married woman. Oppa and everyone else aged between 20 and above...I was just a baby at the moment...So does it mean that you're 40 years old now?" Haneul voiced out her curiosity.
Hoshi let out a laugh. Haneul blushed, "Oppa, don't laugh at me!" she pouted. "Ah, mianhae Haneul-ah. But you're too innocent." Hoshi laughed.
"It's true that we're 40 now but you need to know that vampire grows rather faster and lives longer than human. Even though we are 40 now, our age in the vampire world is similar to a normal 20 years old human." Hoshi told her.
"So does it mean that I will die first?" Haneul suddenly asked him. Hoshi looked at her in surprise, "Why do you say that?" he asked. "You said vampire grows faster but live longer than a normal human. That means you could live 100 years, 200 years more than a human right? Human don't live that long." Haneul told him.
Hoshi nodded, "I know that. But Haneul remember, you're not a human anymore. You're one of you. Soon, you will grow like us. You'll live longer like us too. We could live together for a long time." Hoshi was confident with his work. Haneul looked at him, "Are you sure about that Hoshi oppa?"
Hoshi nodded, "You have a power. That makes you inhuman, not in a bad way. Which means, you already living your life as a vampire." Hoshi said. Haneul nodded, "I see your point." "So princess, don't worry too much okay. No one's dying too soon." Hoshi smiled.
