Chapter 42

Haneul tossed and turned around on the bed while reading a book. She let out a sighed before she sat up and looked at Wonwoo who's reading on his arm chair. "Oppa, can I get another book?" Haneul asked him.

Wonwoo closed his book and looked at her, "What is it this time?" he asked her. "I don't like the story. "Why does that guy betray her? She gave everything to him. But he treat her like thrash!" Haneul expressed her frustration with the story. "Hey, calm down princess. Go and get something else to read. I don't want you to walk out from my room with that face. Who knows what S.Coups hyung would do to me." Wonwoo said.

Haneul looked at him, "Oppa..." "Hmm?" Wonwoo looked at her. "What does the vampire world looks like?" She asked him. "Well...that world looks a lot like this world. We have tall building and everything. And they all wear what human wear. The only different between these two worlds is time. Time fly slower here compare to vampire world. Human's night is our morning; which you already know." Wonwoo explained to her.

Haneul nodded. "Do you miss going back there?" she asked him. He shook his head, "I have no one left in my family. They all died during the uproar between Mingyu's parents and your mother. You guys here are my only family." Wonwoo told her. "I'm sorry for your lost." Haneul apologised. "It's not your fault princess. Sometimes, even an intelligent person can go dumb when it comes to love; just like S.Coups hyung." Wonwoo said.

"Huh? What's with him?" Haneul asked him. "Well, he's a respectable pureblood vampire. But in front of you, he become a fool." Wonwoo gave him a smile. Haneul giggled.

Wonwoo turned outside. He sensed something is not right. Haneul got off from his bed and headed towards the book shelf. "Haneul, let's go downstairs." Wonwoo said. "What? Why?" Haneul pouted. "I simply want you to make me hot chocolate." Wonwoo told her. She sighed, "Let's go. As my reward, let me read more than one book at a time." She looked at him. "All yours princess." Wonwoo nodded.

"Let's go." Haneul walked ahead of him. "By the way, it is a bit quiet tonight, isn't it?" Haneul said before they walked out from the room. Wonwoo pressed his lips into thin lines.

From where they could see the ground floor, Haneul and Wonwoo could see S.Coups and Mingyu standing in front of the main entrance. The others were standing by the windows. "What happen oppa?" Haneul asked from the second floor.

"Wonwoo, keep her safe." S.Coups said coldly. "Huh?" Haneul frowned. Wonwoo pulled Haneul to stand behind him. He grabbed onto her hand. "Stay close to me, Haneul." Haneul knows better than to argue at that time so she nodded at him, "I will, oppa."

"How they find us? I'm sure we're deep inside a forest right now." Minghao said. "Never underestimate vampire world Minghao." Jeonghan reminded him. "So what should we do now? Should we attack first?" Woozi asked. "If they made the first move, learn their pattern then attack them." S.Coups said. The boys nodded.

Mingyu looked outside. He caught a glimpse of vampires on the tress around them. "Hyung, they don't look like those who work with the government." "Really?" Joshua tried to look out. Seungkwan added. "Mingyu is right. They're not in uniform. I don't think it's the government." Seungkwan then used his power when he looked further into the forest.

"They aren't many of them. They are like 30 to 40 of them within 1km." Seungkwan reported to them. "What else can you see?" Dino asked. Seungkwan looked around some more. "There's a woman." He told them. "What?" Some of the boys looked up at him.

"Describe." S.Coups said shortly. "She's wearing a cape but I can see her long dark hair." Seungkwan said.

Vernon frowned deeply, "The government didn't take any woman to work for them. Whoever surrounded us right now, definitely not from the government."

"Hyung! She's heading towards our house." Seungkwan said. "She's coming from this direction." Seungkwan hurriedly ran to a window.

S.Coups and Mingyu hurriedly went to the window, throwing their glances outside as they wait for the figure to appear.

Under the moonlight, a figure finally appeared.

Mingyu gasped out aloud. "Imo?" S.Coups frowned, "What is she doing here?" he asked.

"Kim Mingyu!" the lady called from outside the house. Everyone frost. "Kim Mingyu, it's me, your aunt." The lady said.

Mingyu nestled the window.

The lady smiled, "There you are, my baby boy." He opened the window a bit, "What do you want?" Mingyu asked. "You know what I want, Mingyu. You have it with you right now. Give it to me now and I'll leave this place with my friends."

"What do you want?" Mingyu asked.

The lady grin, "I want your sister."

S.Coups clenched his fist. Haneul's lips trembling in fear. Wonwoo pulled her closer to him.

"She knows about Haneul?" Hoshi whispered. "Shushhh..." DK motioned to zip his mouth. "Let them handle this." He mouthed.

Mingyu frowned, "Sister? What sister? I don't have any sister."

The lady chuckled, "You can't lie to me, Kim Mingyu. We've been watching you for a while now and I know there's a girl in this house with you right now. Hand her to me now!" She demanded.

"What you'll do to her?" Mingyu asked.

"Nothing much. I just want to meet her." the lady said. "Okay." Mingyu said. "What?!" the boys looked at Mingyu in surprise. S.Coups raised his hand to the boys, "Calm down. I know what he's doing."

"But with one condition. Let me walk her to you." Mingyu said. The lady shrugged, "Such a small request. Deal!" the lady agreed. Mingyu nodded, "Okay, wait at the entrance." Mingyu said before he closed the window and walked away from it.

Mingyu looked at Wonwoo. "Hide her." Wonwoo heard his thought and he nodded. He brought Haneul back into the room. Mingyu then looked at Minghao. "Make a copy of her." Minghao nodded.

From his shadow, he created a solid copy of Haneul's figure. The image looked exactly like Haneul. "This should give us some time." Mingyu dragged the image of Haneul with him. "We will be ready here." S.Coups said and Mingyu just nodded. He walked out from the house with the other Haneul.

The other kept their eyes on him through the window.

The lady smiled when she saw Mingyu and 'Haneul'. "That's easy." The lady looked at 'Haneul' from head to toe. "She looks a lot like your father." She said. "Isn't she?" Mingyu agreed. "Haneul, meet my imo." Mingyu looked at 'Haneul'.

She nodded before she turned to the lady and bowed to her, "Nice to meet you. My name is Haneul."

"Come to me darling. I want to look at you closer." The lady called her. 'Haneul' stepped forward but Mingyu held onto her hand, "You are not going anywhere with her, imo." Mingyu glared at her. "I'm not taking her anywhere, Mingyu." The lady smiled.

The smile then turned to an evil grin, "Not when you're capable to chase me."

"What?!" Mingyu went to a defense mode.

Just then Mingyu was surrounded with a group of vampire and they started to attack him with punches and kicks.

"Mingyu!" Joshua shouted from inside the house. "We should go out!" Vernon said. "If we do, this plan will go in vain. Trust Mingyu!" S.Coups said.

"Oppa!" 'Haneul' tried to go to Mingyu but the lady quickly knocked her on the back of her neck. 'Haneul' fell on the ground, unconscious. "H-Haneul" Mingyu weakly looked at her. A vampire threw her over his shoulder. The lady looked at Mingyu with a smiled, "You are so stupid, Kim Mingyu; just like your father! Let's go!" the lady called for the other vampires. Soon they disappeared into the dark.
