S.Coups was in his reading room, absorbed in a book, when he noticed a dark shadow under the door. "Minghao, is that you?" he called out. The shadow glided through the crack under the door and stopped in front of S.Coups's reading table. Minghao slowly emerged from the shadow, carrying Haneul in his arms.

S.Coups quickly stood up. "Haneul! What's wrong?!" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

"Hyung, there's something strange about her. We need everyone to hear what I'm going to say," Minghao responded. "Take her to her room. I'll gather the others," S.Coups instructed. Minghao nodded, then disappeared back into the shadow, which glided out of the room.

"Wonwoo! Jeon Wonwoo! Can you hear me?! Get everyone to Haneul's room now. Spread the word," S.Coups spoke telepathically. He set his book aside and hurriedly made his way to Haneul's room.

Minghao was already there, covering her with a blanket. S.Coups rushed to her bedside and placed his hand on her forehead. "Her temperature is rising again," he noted. "I'll get a wet towel," Minghao offered before disappearing from the room.

Knocking was heard at the door, which opened to reveal Woozi, Vernon, DK, Dino, and Jeonghan. "What happened—Haneul!" Jeonghan exclaimed, rushing into the room. Like S.Coups, he checked her temperature. "She's burning up!" he said. "Minghao's already getting the wet towel," S.Coups informed him before Jeonghan could say more.

"What happened?" Woozi asked as he and the others gathered around Haneul's bed. Minghao returned with a wet towel, which he gently placed on Haneul's forehead.

Another knock came at the door, and this time it was Mingyu, Wonwoo, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, and Seungkwan. "Hyung, what's going on?" Seungkwan asked, not yet seeing Haneul.

"Haneul!" Mingyu was the first to notice her on the bed. He rushed to her side. "Hyung, what's wrong? What happened to her?" he asked anxiously. S.Coups looked at Wonwoo and Vernon.

"Wonwoo, Vernon, use your powers on her. Make sure she doesn't wake up just yet," he instructed calmly. Without hesitation, the two approached Haneul and placed their hands on her head. "I'll create a dream for her. I'll know when she's about to wake up and notify you," Wonwoo explained. "And even if she does wake up, I've created an illusion for her. Everything that happened before she passed out will just feel like a dream," Vernon added. S.Coups nodded in approval. "Good."

"So, what exactly is going on?" DK asked. S.Coups turned to Minghao. "I'm not sure. Minghao has the details."

All eyes turned to Minghao. "Well?" Jun prompted him. Minghao sighed, "This might sound crazy, but... I think she's a vampire."

"What?"

"Are you serious?!"

"That's insane!"

"Is this a joke?!"

A wave of murmurs filled the room.

"Silence, everyone!" S.Coups ordered. The room fell quiet as he continued, "Minghao must have his reasons for saying this. We all know Haneul is human. She's shown no signs of being a vampire."

"None, until today," Minghao replied. "As you asked, I followed her to school. She had a tough day. After the incident the other day, her friends started calling her names—like 'vampire.'"

Mingyu clenched his fists.

"She had a conversation with her best friend, who also called her a vampire and a freak before walking away. That's when it happened. The sky grew dark, and the wind picked up. Then I saw it—her red eyes and fangs. I decided to bring her home. It's too dangerous for her to be out there," Minghao explained.

Joshua stepped closer to her bed, examining her. "There are no visible wounds, but I can sense something chaotic happening inside her body. Her hormones are all over the place." "Can you do anything about it?" Mingyu asked worriedly. Joshua shook his head. "It's beyond my abilities."

"The main question is: How did she become a vampire?" Dino suddenly asked. "He's right. As far as I remember, we picked her up from a human village, right?" DK added. "Which doesn't confirm if she's really human. We don't know anything about her parents, that's for sure," Hoshi said.

"Okay, let's say Haneul is a vampire. Which family line does she belong to?" Seungkwan asked. "And how do we figure that out?" Vernon added.

All eyes suddenly turned to Haneul's sleeping figure.

Mingyu was walking out of his room when he noticed a figure moving weakly down the hallway."Haneul?" he called out. Haneul turned around, looking exhausted. "Mingyu oppa," she smiled weakly. Mingyu quickly went to her side. "Are you okay?" he asked with concern. She nodded. "What happened to me, oppa? The last thing I remember is going to the back of the school to talk with Yeonhwa. Everything after that is a blur, and now I'm suddenly back here at the mansion," Haneul said, looking up at him.

Mingyu gazed at her, "Well, the school called to tell us that you fainted." "Again? What's wrong with me?" she asked. "Maybe you're just not feeling well, Haneul. You could be overstressed. Come on, let me take you to your room," Mingyu suggested, taking her hand. *Damn, she's burning up!*

"Princess, you have a fever!" Mingyu exclaimed. "I—I..." Haneul's voice trailed off as she collapsed into Mingyu's arms. He quickly scooped her up and hurried to her room. He placed her gently on the bed, grabbed a handkerchief from the bedside table, and rushed to the restroom. Returning with a damp handkerchief, he placed it on her forehead. "I'll let S.Coups know," Mingyu said. "You need to stay in bed, okay?" he told her.

As he was about to leave, Haneul weakly grabbed his sleeve. "D-Don't leave me, oppa," she pleaded softly. "But I need to tell S.Coups," Mingyu hesitated. "P-Please...M-mingyu oppa," she repeated, her voice frail. Mingyu sighed in defeat. "The princess always gets what she wants," he muttered, sitting down in the chair next to the bed. "I won't go anywhere. You sleep now, okay?" Haneul nodded before slowly closing her eyes.

Mingyu watched her silently. *Why does her body temperature keep rising? Is something wrong with her?* he wondered, concerned. *At least it's not as bad as before,* he thought.

Later that evening, S.Coups came to check on Haneul. He didn't bother knocking. From a distance, he saw a figure. Before he could identify who it was, he caught a scent. *Kim Mingyu!* S.Coups clenched his fists.

Still, he walked into the room and approached the bed. He looked at Mingyu, who was sleeping in the chair, then at Haneul's sleeping figure.

S.Coups sighed and gently shook Mingyu's shoulder. "Yah, Kim Mingyu," he whispered.

Mingyu stirred and opened his eyes. "Hyung."

"Go sleep in your room. You'll hurt your neck if you stay here," S.Coups advised. Mingyu rubbed his aching neck. "I think I should."

S.Coups looked back at Haneul. "How is she?" he asked. "She has that fever again," Mingyu replied. "I'll have someone look after her tonight. You should keep an eye on the house," S.Coups instructed, knowing Mingyu was the second highest in the vampire hierarchy.

Mingyu frowned, "Are you going somewhere, hyung?" he asked. S.Coups glanced at him, "I'm going back to my family house, in our world," he replied. "Hyung! That's dangerous. You know we're not supposed to go there. You shouldn't go there. You know what will happen if they find you," Mingyu warned.

S.Coups clenched his fists. "I know. Beheading."

The room fell into a tense silence.

"I'm just going to check a few things. Don't let Haneul leave the house tomorrow—not even for school. If I'm not back within two days, gather everyone and leave this place," S.Coups ordered. Mingyu looked at him, clearly worried. "Please be safe, hyung." "I will," S.Coups assured him before leaving the room.
