Chapter 33

Haneul woke up. She blinked her eyes few times. "Where am I?" she looked around. Everything else around her was pitch black. She could see nothing. "Hello?" her voice echoed. "Anyone?" she walked around the dark place.

Out of sudden, she heard a deep loud growl behind her. She turned around in surprise but she could see nothing. While she was standing still, she knew the sound was getting closer towards her. As if moving on its own, Haneul's feet ran away from the growl, towards the other direction.

The growl slowly disappeared, replaced with a sound of someone's crying. Her feet stopped abruptly. "What was that?" she slowly walked towards the direction. From a distance, she could see a little girl, crouching down while sobbing hardly.

"Excuse me, are you okay?" she asked as she walked towards her. She went down to touch her shoulder. The little girl turned around. Haneul let out a loud gasped at once. The little girl turned out to be herself when she was little. "Un-unnie..." the little Haneul cried.

"Wh-What's is th-this?" Haneul took few steps backward. "It hurts, unnie." The little one cried. "Hurt? Who's hurting you?" Haneul asked. "You! You hurt me! You're killing me."

"What? No, I didn't do anything!" Haneul was terrified. "I'm dying unnie. There will be no more human in you, unnie!" the little girl suddenly smiled. "What?" Haneul frowned.

The little girl suddenly got up. She showed Haneul her fangs. "Vam-vampires?" Haneul's lips were trembling. The little girl suddenly jumped onto her and bit her neck. "No!!!" Haneul shouted on top of her lung.

"Haneul, wake up!" Joshua shook her body. She opened her eyes and was panting heavily. "Hey, princess, you're okay?" Joshua asked her. She turned to her side. "Jo-Joshua...op-oppa-" her eyes widened in shock at what she was witnessing on Joshua.

Joshua smiled, "I'm glad you're awake princess. You passed out for the whole day." Joshua said to her but she could hear nothing. Her attention was fully on what was craved on Joshua's neck. The trails of blood vessel were so clear to her sight.

Her throat suddenly burns. She touched her throat, "It's hot!" Haneul had tears blurred her sight. Joshua quickly went to her. "Let me see it, Haneul." He pushed away her hands to check her throat, just in case if there's internal injury.

As soon as Haneul let her hands go, she pushed Joshua down on her bed with all force she had in her.

Joshua was surprise, "Haneul, what's wrong?!" "Shua oppa... what's this?" Haneul trailed her hand on his vessel. "This smells so good, oppa." Haneul said to him.

Joshua looked at her intently. "You can see it now too huh?" "Huh? See what?" Haneul looked at him. "This is how we figure out where to bit our victim, Haneul. This is the vessel that we always feed from." Joshua told her.

"Wh-What? But why can I see it?"

Joshua sighed, "Go look at yourself in the mirror, Haneul." "What?" "Just do it, Haneul." Joshua said sternly.

Haneul got off him was walked to her dresser where the mirror is located.

She let out a loud gasped before she covered her mouth. "No! THIS ISN'T ME!" she screamed in fear as she looked at her reflection. Her eyes were bright red and aside from that, she has a pair of protruded fangs. The window shook due to the sudden strong wind outside. She was emotionally unstable. Her emotion greatly affect the weather outside.

She ran to Joshua and clutched onto his shirt tightly, "Why is this happening to me oppa?! Tell me!" she cried.

Joshua calmly held onto her shoulders, "You stay here. I'll get the person who's responsible for all this. He knows better. Wait for him here." Joshua pushed her to sit on her bed before he walked out from her room.

Haneul waited silently on the bed. She looked outside and the wind is still strong. She took a deep breath, *calm down, Haneul. You'll scare the others.* she thought and the wind has calmed down a bit.

Just then, she heard knocks on her door. "Co-come in..." she called out. She was nervous and at the same time was curious as to whom responsible behind her sudden change.

The door creaked open and from where she was sitting she could clearly see a figure. She frowned deeply, "S.Coups oppa?"

S.Coups walked towards her. "Hey."

Haneul just looked at him silently.

He uneasily rubbed his nape, "Joshua told me about you." "So it's you." Haneul glared at him. "Look, I'm sorry about it Haneul but I can't hold it any longer!" S.Coups gritted his teeth. "Why me?! Why can't it be someone else?!" Haneul argued back.

S.Coups grabbed onto her shoulder and looked into her eyes. "Because you are my mate, Haneul! I can drink from no one else except you!" S.Coups spilled the truth to her. Haneul looked at him in surprise. "N-No! It's not true right? You're lying to me!"

"No Haneul!" S.Coups undid the upper button of his dress shirt. "Look at me, Haneul! You can see it aren't you?" S.Coups was referring to the blood vessel on his body. "Shua said it's for you to feed from. Nothing relates to me!" Haneul argued again.

"Don't lie to me, Haneul. Don't lie to yourself. You not only can see it but can smell it also. Don't you tell me I smell exactly like the others in this mansion because I know to you, my scent is unique and distinct." S.Coups said.

*how'd he know that?!* she thought. "How about my fangs then? I don't have any before this. Why now?!"

"If a pureblood like me bite a human, that person will become a vampire as well. Since you're still half human, I guess it does affect you too." S.Coups told her. "What now? I have to drink blood too?" she looked at him sternly. "You drank once before this. You should be fine but remember, you can only drink from me." S.Coups reminded her. "Find me whenever you need blood. You should drink regularly since this is still new to you." S.Coups turned to leave. "You should rest. I can feel that your emotion is unstable." Without looking back at her, he walked out from her room.

S.Coups let out a heavy sighed.

"What now hyung?" Mingyu suddenly appeared. "What do you mean?" S.Coups walked closer to him. "You turned her into a vampire! You ruined her life" Mingyu growled at him. S.Coups pinned Mingyu against the wall. He was glaring at him with his red eyes. "That's your sister darn it! She's a half vampire. Even if I didn't claim her, she still a vampire! That's the fact that not you or your father can change!" S.Coups said.

"You said I ruined her life? What about you then?! You ruined her life too! She's in love with you when she's actually my mate! Don't act like you know everything, Kim Mingyu! You don't even know how miserable her emotion was when she knew she's your sister!" S.Coups gritted his teeth.

"Hyung..." another voice called.

"What Minghao?" S.Coups glared at him. His gaze softened at once when he saw Minghao was not alone. Haneul was there. Minghao was holding onto her. "She heard you guys." Minghao looked at her worriedly.

S.Coups gritted his teeth. *damn!* he let go off Mingyu and strode off towards his room, leaving Mingyu gasping for air.

"Oppa, are you okay?" Haneul asked Mingyu. He nodded, eagerly. "Go to sleep, Haneul. You must be tired." Mingyu smiled. "I'm going to sleep. Good night everyone." With that, Mingyu walked away as well.
