Hi everyone who are reading this! So I finally graduated with degree. After 4 years...haih. On to the next step; career life.
Since everything is done, I really want to say that I can update this story frequently but too bad I can't. I can't promise my readers thing I can't achieve. However, this story will still be ongoing. I will still update, but maybe at slow pace. And I really want to apologize to my readers for that.
Everyone, except for Haneul, gathered at the living. The moon was up again and none of them are in mood to do other works after they receive an emergency summon from S.Coups. They had make sure to keep Haneul busy in her room. Everyone looked serious. "So Haneul is actually your sister, Mingyu?" Jeonghan asked. "It turned out to be so." Mingyu answered. "What's happening here actually?" Jun ruffled his hair. "Can't you tell us the whole story?"
Mingyu sighed, "My dad, Kim Sejin, everyone knows him right? Well, I'm not sure if you know this but the riot between human and vampire that time was because of him." Mingyu said. Woozi frowned. "How is that possible? Aren't you the one who found him dead in the forest?' Woozi asked and Mingyu nodded.
"Kim Sejin he's a strong vampire and everyone respect him. Being his only son, I know how people look up to him. Our family may seems like a normal family but it is not. One day, my mom got suspicious of him when he sometimes didn't return home. Soon after that, she found out that he's been seeing a woman behind her back."
Hoshi looked at him. "Is that woman? Miso?" Hoshi asked and Mingyu nodded. "At first, I don't want to butt in their matter but it stress me that everytime dad got home, mom and dad would argue. I determine to find who the woman is. So one day, I followed him. I was surprise when he led me to the human world. The woman turned out to be Miso and she's a human. I understand why dad didn't say a thing to mom. After I knew who the woman is, I return home and act like nothing happen. I leave everything to parents. They need to settle that matter on their own. I didn't know what happen to her after that." Mingyu told them.
"I heard they argued one night. Mom was so mad at him and he promise to forget that woman and live with my mom and me forever. After that, dad was like how he is before. He was always at home and was never leave the house without telling my mom. Then after almost a year or so, mom found out that he had another child with that other woman. Mom got so mad because she thought that he changed. Mom confronted him and he admitted that he's been staying with her secretly from time to time. Mom swear that she would kill Miso."
"So that night, dad left our house to warn Miso about mom but mom knows better. Her henchmen killed dad in that forest. Even a strong vampire could be kill with that number of vampires. That's how the vampires started to attack the human village. The rest was exactly like we saw that day." Mingyu finished his story.
"In Haneul's dream, we saw a woman with a baby and also Mingyu's dad. They look so happy until the vampire attacked the village. That lady got killed but the baby is save." Hoshi said. "And the baby is Haneul!" Seungkwan said. "That explains how she has such power." Dino added and Mingyu nodded. He then clutched onto his head, "All these years, how could I not know?!" "Y-Yah, calm down." Joshua looked at him worriedly.
S.Coups suddenly got up.
"Hyung?" Minghao looked at him. "I'm going to take a rest at the attic. Don't disturb me." With that, S.Coups coldly walked away.
The younger one exchanges glances. "What's wrong with him?" Dino asked. Seungkwan raised his shoulder.
Just then, Haneul got down from the stairs. "Hey, everyone! What are you doing here?" Haneul asked with a wide smile. "H-Haneul." Jeonghan smiled. "Have you finish your jigsaw puzzle?" Joshua asked. She shook her head. "It's hard. I need help." She said. Minghao smiled at her, "I'll help you later." She nodded eagerly.
Mingyu looked at her sternly, "But before that, we-I have something important to tell you."
Everyone looked at him, "Mingyu-ah." "Hyung."
"She needs to know. Enough with all the lies." Mingyu decided. "What is it, Mingyu oppa?" Haneul innocently looked at him.
"It's..."
S.Coups looked at the full moon through the circle window at the attic. "The moon sure shine bright tonight. This should be a great day." he let out a heavy sigh. "I didn't expect this to happen." He said to himself.
Just then, he heard a heavy, fast footsteps as if someone was running on the hallway.
The door to the attic suddenly flew opened and was closed with a loud bang. S.Coups calmly watched as someone entered the room without noticing him. That person went to the window pane and rested both of her hands there. She cried her heart out. S.Coups comfortably watched her from the sofa he was laying down at.
She sobbed hardly. "Why? W-Why does this happen to me?" she cried. "Mi-mingyu oppa..." she sobbed.
"So he told you?" S.Coups suddenly asked. Haneul turned around in surprise. "S.Coups oppa." Tears still running down her face. S.Coups sat up and leaned against the sofa. "Look at you. Aren't you supposed to be happy that you finally found a family?" he asked her. She didn't say anything but the tears won't stop coming out.
S.Coups sighed. "Come here." Without any hesitation, she walked to him. She stood close to him. He took her hand, "You know, pretty girl shouldn't be crying like this." He pulled her. Haneul let out a gasp as she landed on top of him. "O-oppa...Wh-what are you doing?" she tried to get up but S.Coups pulled her closer by grabbing onto her waist. He rested her head on his chest. "Cry, Haneul. You can cry as much as you want on me." S.Coups rested his chin on her head as his other hand gently patted her back.
Haneul started to cry on him. She clutched tightly onto his shirt as if her life depends on it. "All these years..." she cried. "I'm in love with my own brother." She confessed. "I'm so stupid oppa." She cried even harder on him. S.Coups hugged her closer. His heart ache watching her crying for other man. "You'll get over it, Haneul." He patted her back. "I love him, oppa. Why..." she cried. S.Coups threw his gaze onto the door. *he's here.* he thought.
Mingyu pushed himself off the wall and walked away from the attic. *she should have her own time right now. I'll talk to her later.* he thought before he walked toward his room.
