Thoughts to Ponder

“…whoever slanders the Holy Spirit will NEVER be forgiven.”

Bible, are you kidding me? Are you that dumb? Well, if God is the father, the son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit why do they seem contradictory from each other? These are my thoughts that sprung up because I found the Gospel of St. Mark very controversial.

Hmmm. What will I do with this deep sense of contradiction? A God whom I believe ever patient, ever loving and ever forgiving, can’t forgive?

However, when I had my meditation, I just remember what our professor said to this “slander the Holy Spirit” thing. He said that the sin which is unpardonable is the unbelief that God would still forgive our sins. Ahaha! I got it, but I found myself still lacking with something to share. Despite this scarce thought, I still continued the meditation and found out the other angle of it.

As a result, I found out the implicit sense of Jesus to us. He is more likely speaking to us that we must use our common sense frequently. He wants us to know how much He loved us and He wants us to fix ourselves to become whole again and to abolish the infirmity that surrounds us.

He is telling us that before we correct the wrongs of the environment, we must be clean inside first. Sometimes, the life here in the seminary is the paradox of Jesus’ calling. Why? For example, when a violating brother said, “silence please” we feel that there’s no spark of responding towards his call though the sense is correct. Logically speaking, we can carry the blame of argumentum ad hominem towards the person but nonetheless in pragmatic sense, the person is unworthy to talk.

Even to these facts, Jesus is still channeling the best message for us, “Son, believe in me and dare to walk the talk.
