Mal pov

I went up for the header sent in by Lindsey, and I felt something hard. Harder than a ball. A person.

I went down and eventually saw black.

Dansby pov

Elaina and I watched Mal play on the television screen in our living room. Mal was on a roll with 2 assists and one goal. We were both so proud of her, considering this was their olympic send off.

"Dad what happened?" Elaina said as I looked up from my phone.

Mal was on the ground unresponsive. The team was all around her as people brought out a stretcher.

"Hold up, Lanie what happened?"

"Mommy got hit and fell." She said scared

I panicked and dialed Kelley's number. Kelley has been out on an injury so surely she must have her phone on her.

"Hey Dans."

"What happened. Is she okay? Kel is my baby okay?"

Suddenly it switched voices

"Dans, she's fine. They have her stable and she's waking back up. Minor cuncussion." Alex said calmly.

"Thank you so much Alex!" I yelled

"Aunt Alex?" Elaina said

I put the phone on speaker

"Hey girl, your mama is just fine, she will be okay. I love you"Alex said

"Love you too Aunt Alex"

Alex ended up Face timing me instead.

"Hey Elaina!" Rose yelled

"That's baby Pugh!?" Pinoe yelled

"BABY PUGH!" Lindsey yelled

Elaina waved as Christen came into the screen.

"Hey Chris, how's our baby?" I say

"She's awake, their getting fluids in her right now, we'll stay on call until she's ready to see you. Is that baby Pugh I see?"

"Yes, it is I, Baby Pugh." Elaina says causing everyone to cheer.

"Dans your girl is ready!" I hear Emily yell.

Alex takes the phone into the training room and hands it off.

I see her beautiful face, with a few scratches.

"Hey beautiful." I say and she smiles.

"Hey babe, baby." She says looking past me at Elaina

"Hey mommy! How are you?" Elaina says

"I'm doing better. I can't wait to see you guys. I miss you so much. My two loves, all alone in that big house." Mal says smiling

I hear Elaina scream and see her on the ground laughing.

"Your daughter is insane" I say

"Our daughter. WE made that." Mal says with a look. I smile and blow her a kiss.

"Love you mommy.Goodnight." Elaina says before walking upstairs.

"How long are you out?" I ask Mal

"Nothing heals without time Dans."

"I know, I just want to see my baby do great things."

"And I will. I love you Dansby. See you in two days sharp, at the game. Love you babe." She says before hanging.
