"Aria Smith, Barclay Beales, Chris Leanord, Tom Mann, James Graham, Reece Bibby, Jake Sims, Casey Johnson, and Charlie Jones, the judges would like to see you back on stage." The stagehand said while leading all nine of us back to stage. When me and the boys stepped on stage, Simon looked at us with a straight face. "Hello guys how you doing? Pretty gutted I'd assume." he said and we all shook our heads and looked at each other confused. Why did he bring us back? "Well here's the deal. We've been over this and we have all unanimously decided that you are too talented to let go of." The boys and I all looked at each other again this time with a little more hope and even more confusion. "The other judges and I have decided you guys would sound great as a group and we would love it if you would continue on and compete to make it to the live shows." Simon and the other judges looked at us and smiled. Before I knew what was happening, I was being lifted off the ground by one of the boys and we were all yelling and congratulating each other. Simon laughed into his microphone and said, "I'll take that as a yes. Congratulations guys, and girl. See you at the six chair challenge." Once the boys and I made it off stage they all found their families and told them the good news. Me, well I just waited. Finally, Simon came back stage and asked us all to follow him. He led us to a small dressing room in back and asked us to take a seat. Once we were all situated, he looked at us and said,"this is all very new. We have never had such a large group on the show before, and honestly, I have no idea how it's going to work. But I think you're all talented enough that you have a good chance of going far in this competition." He looked at every single one of us. "Right now we need to worry about getting you guys to sing together and working as a band and not nine individual artists." We all nodded in agreement. "The next stage of the competition is the six chair challenge. That is where your mentor will decide if you go through to judges houses, or if you go home." Simon said. "Now here's the downfall: you will not have access to a vocal coach before the challenge. You will have to work out harmonies and lead vocals on your own." I looked around at the boys and tried to remember their auditions to try and see who should be lead vocals and who would sound good together for harmonies. I only remember James' audition because he was my favorite. I can't believe he didn't make it as a solo act. "Aria," Simon, suddenly pulled me out of my thoughts. "Yes Simon?" I looked at him. "I just wanted to say that even though you're the only girl in the band, your vocals are going to be the glue that holds everything together, so don't be shy. If this band is going to succeed, you're going to have to come out of your shell and perform. Have confidence in your voice. I do and so do the other judges." He smiled at me. I nodded my head and smiled back. "Alright, now get out of here. You have a week before the challenge. I suggest you go prepare." We all said our goodbyes and left the dressing room. When we were out of the room, we all stood in a circle and waited for somebody to say something. "Now what?" One of the boys looked around the circle. "Well considering we don't know each other, I think we should agree to meet up at someone's house later tonight and just hang out and get to know each other." I suggested. The boys nodded in agreement. "Ok great. Whose house are we going to?" I asked. "Wait a second. Are you American? It sounds like it with your accent." James asked me. I nodded my head yes and the boys gave me a weird look. Almost like the fact that me being from America was impressive. "Well it was your idea, why don't we go to your house?" One of the younger looking boys said. "We can't go to my house. I flew here yesterday and I am staying in a hotel." I looked around at all of them. "Alright, we can go to mine." The really attractive one, I think his name is Tom, said. "I have my own place and there is plenty of room for all of us." We all agreed and Tom gave us his address. It was 4pm now and we all decided we would meet up at his place at 6:30pm just incase we wanted to celebrate with our families. Instead of celebrating, I went back to my hotel room, showered and packed my bag for tonight. The next time I looked at the clock it was 6pm. "This is it. My dreams are coming true." I whispered to myself before pulling out my phone and calling myself a cab.
