James, Jake and I ended up waiting for Tom to come back home for two hours. By this time it was 5pm and he was just walking through the door. "Hey guys, sorry I took so long. I had some errands to run." He said giving us an apologetic look while making his way to the kitchen with a bag of groceries in hand. "You guys hungry?" He yelled over to us. We all got up from the couch and joined him in the kitchen. "I don't know about them but I'm starving." Jake said looking from James and I back to Tom. "Alright. We can go somewhere, I can order in, or if worse comes to worse I can cook something." Tom smiled. "I can cook us something." I suggested. "Do you guys have time to stay for dinner?" I asked Jake and James. They nodded their heads yes and I smiled. "Great. What do you guys want?" I looked at all of them. "Surprise us." James smiled. "Hmm ok. Before I start, are there any allergies I need to be made aware of?" I asked. The three of them shook their heads no. "Alright. I'll get started then. You guys go watch TV or something." I said waving my hands at them. "You're sure you don't need any help?" James looked at me. Was he asking if he could help? I thought for a second and held up a finger. "Just a second," I told him while I opened the fridge to make sure I had all the ingredients I needed. I did. "Alright. If you want to stay and help you can, but if you don't want to then that's ok too. I can do it by myself, it'll just take a little longer." I offered. "Alright well then I'll help." James looked down at me and smiled. I smiled back and watched as Jake and Tom made their way to the living room. "So what are we making?" James asked as he jumped up on the counter and sat down. I looked at him and said, "haven't you, ever heard the saying 'counters are for glasses, not asses'?" I looked up at him. He looked at me and raised one eyebrow. I playfully rolled my eyes and told him to get down. He did as he was told, and got down, landing directly in front of me. My head was level with his chest. I felt my cheeks get warm and had to step away. I cleared my throat and said, "first things first, we both need to wash our hands." I said and made my way over to the sink. He followed me to the sink and when I looked up at him, he was already staring at me. He had that damn grin on his face and I couldn't help but smile. I shook my head, turned the water on and we both washed our hands. When we were done, I went to the fridge and pulled out the chicken breasts. "Will you tell me what we're making now?" He said looking from the chicken to me. "I was thinking chicken fajitas, salad and some corn." I told him. "What the hell is a chicken fajita?" He asked. I stopped what I was doing to look at him. "You better be kidding." I stated. He started laughing and said, "of course I'm kidding. I love chicken fajitas." He smirked. "Good." I said and looked in all the cupboards until I finally found a frying pan. I then opened the chicken and gave James and I each three chicken breasts to cut into strips. He watched as I cut my first one and then began cutting his the same way. I couldn't help but smile. When we were done cutting the chicken, we threw the strips into the frying pan. I then sprinkled some seasoning in the pan and put a lid on it. "Alright, will you find three normal sized bowls and a big bowl for the salad?" I asked as I went to the fridge and pulled out the lettuce, tomatoes, tortillas, and cheese. James had far less trouble finding the bowls than I did with finding the damn frying pan. "Ok, do you want to cut the lettuce or the tomatoes?" I looked over at him. "Uuhh, I'll take the lettuce. Every time I cut tomatoes it always ends up looking like a crime scene." He said while grabbing the lettuce from my hand. I laughed and said, "well all right then." We both sat there for a few minutes focused on what we were doing. When I was finished I put the tomatoes in a bowl and checked the chicken. It was cooking pretty fast so I began stirring and flipping it. "You know, watching you cook is strangely turning me on." He looked over at me and smirked. "Oh please." I laughed and shoved him lightly. He chuckled and went back to chopping the lettuce.

After everything was cooked and cut we called Jake and Tom into the kitchen. They thanked James and I for cooking and we all filled our plates. "Holy shit. Aria these are delicious." Tom mumbled through a mouth full of food. "Thanks," I laughed.

After we were all done eating Jake stood up and said, "well we better be going. I'm sure your parents are wondering where you are." He looked at James. "Actually my parents think I'm staying the whole weekend. But if you need to go then we can go." James stood up too. "No, my parents aren't expecting me either." Jake said. "Well you guys are more than welcome to stay another night. It's not as bad with only four of us." Tom told them. "I'm down. Is that okay with you Aria?" James asked. "Why wouldnt it be?" I questioned. "Good point. Looks like we're staying." James smiled and plopped down next to me on the couch.
