"No that's not it either. You're still half a beat behind." Said Yvie, the vocal coach for the live shows. She was working with James on his entrance for Roar. "Let's try it again." She gave him an encouraging smile and started the music again. This was our first rehearsal with the vocal coach and I already liked her a million times better than that ass hat from judges houses. "That's it!" She stopped the music and gave him a high five. Ok, so she's a little out there, but she's nice. And she knows what she's doing, which is obviously a plus. "Alright, now lets try it all together." She nodded her head and started the music again.
"Well that was fun." Casey sighed as we all walked into his room and found a seat. I sat in the big blue beanbag chair and took a deep breath. "Atleast I didn't have to argue with her." I smiled. The boys chuckled and nodded their heads. "I like our song though. I think it will sound really good when we're finished." Chris smiled from his bed. The boys and I agreed that it was a good song and the arrangement was great. We were talking for a few minutes before Charlie got up and came back with a forensics book. "Forensics?" I looked at him. "Yeah. It was either this or psychology." He muttered. "I took forensics too. What are you studying?" I got up and sat next to him on the bed. "Entomology. I hate it. I can't even look at the maggots without almost puking." He complained. "Oh god me too. I hated this section. But I got an A in the class so you can ask me any questions if you need help." I offered. "Thanks, but I'm ok with this. How are you at english?" He looked at me. "Are you kidding? English is my favorite." I smiled. I looked up and seen the boys just staring at us like we were talking in a foreign language. "What? I was a nerd in school. I actually kinda miss it." I shrugged my shoulders and went back to my beanbag chair. "So what now?" Tom looked around for someone to offer up something to do. It was already 6pm so there weren't many options. "I know!" I stood up and smiled. "The game room." I looked around and all the boys smiled back. We all went downstairs and split up. Reece and Charlie were playing foosball, Jake, Tom, James, and I started a game of pool, and Barclay, Chris and Casey were simultaneously playing darts and watching a soccer game on TV. "So Aria, is pool another thing you're good at or do I want to pick someone else to be on my team?" Tom asked me. "Uuhh I think your best bet would be to pick someone else. Pool and I have never really gotten along." I admitted. "Alright. James? Me and you against her and Jake?" Tom looked at James and waited for his reply. "Sounds good." James smiled and grabbed a pool stick. "Hold on a minute. Let's make this a little more interesting." Jake looked at me and smiled devilishly. I don't like that look. "What did you have in mind?" Tom asked. James and I looked at each other and then back and Jake. "Hmm. How about this, the losers have to be the personal slaves to the winners for an entire week." Jake suggested. Ok, either Jake is secretly the most badass pool player ever or he wants to be a slave for a week. I'm praying it's the first. "Sounds like a deal. But when James and I win, you're my slave." Tom grinned. Great, so when we lose I have to do whatever James says for an entire week. I don't know if it was nerves or excitement, but I felt little butterflies form in my stomach at the thought. "Alright, lets get this party started!" Tom yelled. Oh man, here goes nothing.
