What is wrong with me?

Ever since I saw Alex last week she's been the only thing I could think about. She did write her number down but I was afraid to use it.

I can't believe she went through all of what she told me without me.

It was now 4 in the morning and I couldn't sleep so I decided to text her.

ALEXANDRITE POV
Just close your eye and go to sleep. It's that simple.

It was currently 4 in the morning and I couldn't sleep due to one reason-Micheal was on my mind. He's been through so much since our break up.

Who the hell is messaging me this early in the morning?

I quickly grabbed my phone and checked it. It was an unknown number but after viewing the profile picture I knew who it was and saved the number.

Micheal, it's fricking 4 in the morning!!
Of course I wanna go for some smoothies😌

Why did I even ask?
I'll be over in about 10 minutes.

What am I doing??? Going for smoothies with my ex at 4 in the morning.

Well then...

I threw on a long sleeve shirt, a skirt a little high abobe my knees and some socks and slippers. I put on a beanie and brushed my teeth. By the time I was done Micheal had arrive. I grabbed my jacket and quietly sneaked out.

The smoothie place was open 24/7 365.

"Can I have a banana and strawberry smoothie, please and thanks." Micheal request.

In 5 minutes we were slurping away at our smoothies. We were also the only customers in the store and it was dead quiet.

"So, how long have you and James been together?"

"17 years."

"And you're still his girl friend?" he ask in disbelief.

"Yeah. How long have you and Royalty been together?" I ask. It was still hard to believe she's my half aunt.

He chuckled before saying "Royalty and I are nothing. She just lives with me, sleeps in bed with me, decrease my financial income, pleases me whenever I want and boss my workers around. She's literally a gold digger but I do my best to tolerate her," he says bluntly.

"Oh wow. How can you live with someone you don't love?" I reply.

"It's easy. Especially when you've lost the people you love and the one girl you want to be with hates you. Also, as much as Royalty's all those things, she's been there for me while I was going through the worst years of my life so I keep her around. Enough about me. Why aren't you and James married or started a family?" he says.
