EVANORA

Such an asshole! I swear if there weren't humans around at the club I would have done something to him.

I hate going out to clubs anyways and only came out to be Payton's 'wing man' in a way. Though she had no trouble at all finding someone to hook up with, which is why I said 'bye' to her and began making my way towards the condo.

However, while on the way, my stomach started growling and made me realize I hadn't eaten since lunch and it's nearly midnight almost. So they only place that was opened and close to the apartment, was a diner place, so I went inside and ignored all the teenagers, snickers, some looks of disgust and some even remarked something while on the way out.

"Didn't know Fatty Krueger was a costume." Some drunk dumb ass says.

"Watch it!" I snapped my head and glared at him and his group as I was NOT in the mood for this bullshit.

"Or what? You're gonna eat me?" He asked.

"Wow how original. Can't come up with anything new huh? It's pathetic really. But then again, a comeback that terrible is not as sad as how small your dick is. I bet it's so small it couldn't even break a cheerio." I tell him and of course the girl he is with along with his friends all start laughing.

"Shut the fuck up." He tells them then glares back at me. "You're gonna pay for that." He says.

"Oh my god." I wince as I start to wave my hand in front of my nose to get rid of the stench of his breath. "I already am. Whew. Did you eat dog shit or something?" I asked.

The guy then moves in closer and the next thing I know, I see him start to raise his fist to me and before he could do anything, his arm is grabbed and squeezed tightly by a hand. When I look to see who it was, I was surprised to see it was Caspian.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He tells the guy.

"And who the hell are you? Her boyfriend?!" The guy asks as he rips his wrist from Caspian's grasp.

"I'm the guy that can put you in the hospital for months." He says.

"Come on babe. They aren't worth it." The guys girlfriend says while tugging at his arm.

He is reluctant to move for a bit and then finally follows after her.

"I had it under control." I snap at him.

"Yeah well, no guy should raise his hand out of anger towards a woman." He says.

That response had me taken back a little bit.

"Well, thanks I guess. But what are you doing here? Did you follow me again?" I asked annoyed.

"This time I did. I wanted to apologize for what I said back at the club tonight. I didn't mean for the way it came out." He began apologizing.

"It's fine." I replied.

"Miss, we have a booth available now for you." The waitress says.

I can't believe the next words that are about to come out my mouth but they just do.

"Want to join me for a late dinner?" I asked.

"Sure." He smiled.

I half smiled and we sat at a booth by a window that looked out at the parking lot. After ordering some food and while eating, I decided that maybe we should make things less awkward and try to at least get to know one another since we are neighbors after all.

"Can I ask you something?" I began.

"Shoot." He says.

"You're about to become the Alpha King of wolves and yet you own a tattoo shop in the U.S. Why is that? Don't you have to prepare or something?" I ask.

"In a way, yeah. But I have always wanted a tattoo shop because I love them for one and I don't know, I guess there's a part of me that would like to see what it might be like to have a life, even for a little while, that ism't so royal and crazy." He says.

I could tell he hasn't told anyone all of that before.

"I hear ya." I agree.

"Really?" He looks at me sounding as though he doesn't believe me.

"Yeah. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's nice to be able to have things you want at your fingertips. But at the end of the day, you feel weird. Plus I think living among humans isn't too bad and can help us try and understand them more. Not to mention that I love being able to help people with my products." I tell him.

Oh god, now I am telling him things I don't tell anyone.

"Everyone except wolves." He smirks.

I begin laughing a little bit.

"Of course." I smiled.

It's strange. One minute we are enemies and the next we are eating a meal past midnight as if we are becoming friends or something. Though I know that would be forbidden. Not that I would want that anyways.
