EVANORA

After I yelled at Caspian, he still was nice enough and caring to come and help me out. He was also really nice enough to allow me to sleep off my injuries after that potion Payton gave me.

When I woke up, I immediately could tell I was better and healed all up as I felt no more pain and when lifting up my shirt, I say there were no more bruises or any markings.

As soon as I sat up in the bed and woke myself up a little more, I then got up and started to quietly walk down the stairs assuming wherever Caspian was at along with his pack were still asleep.

However, at the top of the stairs, I could hear laughter along with familiar voices and Caspian's being one of theirs. So I started to make my way downstairs and was shocked to see both the wolf council elders and the witch's elders sitting at the table laughing and all talking with each other as if it's some casual get together.

Payton as well as everyone else began to turn their heads to look at me.

"Good morning." Payton smiled at me.

"Morning." I replied. "What's going on?" I asked.

"Nothing to be scared of or worried about. Come and sit." The head elder from the witch council said.

Next Payton pulls out a seat that's in between her and Caspian.

"So why are you all here?" I asked scared they're gonna talk to me about last night and LaVarkin.

"We heard about what had happened to you last night and after putting two and two together from the one that told us you were socializing with LaVarkin and what happened last night, we can all see now that the severity of LaVarkin's father and him trying to get to you, he's doing it through extreme measures." The head elder from the witch's council states.

"So what happens now? Are you going to lock me up? Send me away?" I asked worried.

"Of course not. You have done nothing wrong." She says.

"Then what?" I asked feeling as if there's a catch of some kind still to all of this.

Everyone looks at each other then back at me.

"We've all decided that since Caspian is one of the best and strongest Alpha's to one of the best packs as well as seeing how you both happen to have business' next to each other, our decision is that him and his pack will help protect you and Payton." The head elder of the Wolf Council says.

Surprised, I look over at Caspian who smiles at me and damn his sexy eyes and smile and....wait, he can't protect me.

"Hold on, how could they protect us when I was told when I was little up til now to not trust wolves?" I asked. "No offense." I add quickly looking at the wolf council and then at a hurt and yet, irritated looking Caspian now with a clenched jaw.

Shit! I didn't mean it that way.

"It's alright. We know what you meant." The head elder from the wolf council assures me.

"The truth is they are one of the best protectors that ever lived. Back of course when we all were speaking to each other." One of the elders from the witch council states.

"Which we are hoping to soon change. Among other things." An elder from the wolf council chimes in.

"Okay then." I nod in agreement. "But when do we move in?"

"As soon as possible." The head elder of the witch council says.

I don't say anything else as I try and process everything that was just thrown at me out of nowhere.

Next we all say goodbye and as soon as they leave, I wake up to Caspian.

"Thank you...." I began but he cut me off.

"Yeah well, sorry you have to live with a kind you can't trust." He mocks.

"I didn't mean it like that." I began to try and explain.

"How else could you have meant it?" He asked more hurt sounding than angry.

"I just meant I didn't want to burden you. It has nothing to do with you personally, I just hate when others are involved in my trouble." I tell him. "Yeah, whatever."

"Look, I don't expect you to understand. But stop assuming shit and what I'm thinking or what I mean when you have no idea. And also, don't act like you don't judge me or my kind. I know you do. And one more thing, I'll make you a deal right here and now. You stop acting like the stereotypes and I'll stop looking at you as one!" I tell him.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He fired back.

"It means, for example, you getting all hot and cold over little things and then believing your own accusations as if they were the truth because you can't admit when you're wrong! You wolves, so have temper issues." I point out.

I hadn't realized we had an audience as Payton, Caspian's Beta, Delta and several others from his pack were all looking at us, trying to hold in their laughter.

When I turn to walk away and leave, I feel him grab my wrist and pull me harshly towards his office, closing the door behind me as he pushes me up against the door, leaning in close to me, inches away from my lips with both of his hands locking me in before he next smashes his lips onto mine.
