The Demon Swordsman Hakuro's training is beyond severe. He only has one rule for training : Fight, and live on. His violently powerful sword attacks are like a storm as they come from every possible angle.

Still, I think Gobuta's pretty amazing for being able to be happily eat after taking five times the beating I took, He thought as he watched the Hobgoblin continue eating his third helping.
"Today was a real challenge, wasn't it ?" The Hobgoblin commented, oblivious to his train of thought.
This town of monsters is literally full of Monsters.
Another day
"He's like this day after day..... I'm going to end up dead before I become a hero," He complained as he rubbed his aching body that had endured Hakuro's hellish torture he called training.
"You're still alive," Inari commented while watching the Oni poke Gobuta with his wooden sword. "Kinda like trying to see if he's still alive," The woman voiced his thoughts.
"He sees your potential, and that's why he's so strict with you. You've won Hakuro's approval," Benimaru offered.

Or he just likes beating the stuffing out of you.
"Quite pretending to be dead. You can still keep going, can't you ?" Hakuro questioned innocently once Gobuta stopped playing dead.
Youma
"There's a lot of weirdos among you Oni, isn't there ?" He watched as the big boobed Oni woman tackled Rimuru.
Benimaru

Finally the day of his departure...
"Today's the day you become 'Lord Youma the Hero'."
"Master !" He greeted the Demon Swordsman. "To be honest, I was nervous in the beginning, but thanks to everyone, I finally awoken and have confidence. My skills too.... I'm sure I'm not so far behind you in skill now...."
"I see, I see, if that's your reason and disposition. Well then...."
(Fast sword sound effects) shiny, shiny, shiny !
"Hmm. Now you look more like a hero," Hakuro commented at his handiwork of Youma's new haircut. No longer shaggy !!!
I couldn't see anything !!!!! Youma worried.
"Nice one ! He doesn't look like a shaggy dog anymore !" Inari commented with a look on her face, There Is no way your even close to Hakuro's level.
And she's even scarier then Hakuro.... He trembled as he remembered seeing them practice. The Oni Swordsman could not even touch her !!!!!
This town is full of MONSTERS !!!!!!! He nearly cried out.
