Chapter 3

Jake's POV:
I carried her bridal style to the car and I felt her snuggle into my chest causing me to smile. Once I got to the car, Colby looked at me and then at the girl in my arms and had confusion written all over his face. He opened his mouth to say something but I shook my head and he nodded. I opened the backseat door with one of my hands and lay her on the backseat and I tried to leave out and sit in the passenger seat when she gently grabbed my wrist.
???-Please stay.
I looked down at her pleading eyes and nodded. She scooted over to make room and I sat down and shut the backseat door. She lay her head on my lap and pulled her legs up to her chest on the seat. Colby looked at me in the review mirror and I mouthed the words 'later'. He nodded and started the car.
Time Skip
We pulled up in the driveway and turned off the car. Colby got out and me and the girl got out. We walked up to the door and Colby opened it for us letting us go in first and he soon followed shutting the door behind us. We walked into the living room and I noticed how she was looking around, amazed by everything she was seeing.
Jake-I could give you a tour tomorrow if you'd like.
She nodded and gave me a small smile.
We all sat down on the couch and turned to her.
Jake-What's your name?
???-S..Stella.
Jake-I'm Jake and this is one of my best friends Colby Brock.
Colby-Hi Stella it's nice to meet you.
He reached out his hand and she flinched away as if she thought he was going to hit her.
Colby-I'm not gonna hurt you, promise.
She slowly moved closer to him and hesitantly took his hand and shook it. She gave him a small smile and let go of his hand.
Colby-How old are you?
Stella-Se...Seventeen. H..How old are you guys?
Colby-I'm twenty two and Jake is twenty one.
She nodded and looked down at the floor.
Jake-We have four more roommates but they're not here right now they'll be back tomorrow and we'll introduce you to them when you wake up ok?
She slowly nodded and covered her mouth as she yawned.
Jake-Tired?
Stella-Very.
Jake-Cmon I'll show you where you can sleep.
She nodded and followed me upstairs to my room.
Colby-Goodnight guys.
Jake-Goodnight bro.
We entered my room and I turned on the light and closed the door behind us.
Jake-You can sleep in my bed, I'll take the floor.
Stella-O..Ok.
She opened her mouth to say something else but quickly rejected it.
Jake-What is it?
Stella-No...Nothing
Jake-Cmon what were you gonna say?
Stella-Can I sh..shower?
Jake-Sure I show you where the bathroom is follow me.
We walked out of my room and walked to the bathroom and turned in the light.
Jake-I'll go get you some clothes and a towel I'll get you a wash cloth too.
I went downstairs to get the stuff she needed and brought it back to her.
Stella-Tha...Thank you.
Jake-You're welcome.
I closed the door and went back to my room and set up some blankets on the floor and some pillows. A few minutes later she walked into my room wearing the clothes I gave her.
Stella-Is this yo..your shirt?
Jake-Yeah.
Stella-The boxers too?
Jake-Yeeah, I didn't know w what other clothes to give you so I just gave you those.
Stella-Thank you.
I nodded and shut off the lights. I got comfortable on the blankets and pillows I put on the floor and she got comfortable in my bed.
Stella-Jake?
Jake-Yeah?
Stella-Thank you for eve...everything you did for me tonight.
Jake-Don't mention it. I'm just glad I got there when I did.
Stella-I....I guess I am too, goodnight..Jake.
Jake-Goodnight Stella.
After a few minutes I heard light snores, I reached my arm over the bed and pulled the covers over her body more and laid back down, shutting my eyes and slowly drifted off into the land of dreams.
