-The next day-
Jake's POV:
Colby and I are hanging out with the others including Corey who had just gotten back from his TFIL trip with Elton earlier today and they are growing suspicious of Sam and Stella's absence.
Kat- Ok cut the crap, There's something you guys aren't telling us, where the hell is Sam and Stella?
Tara- Um who's Stella.
Colby and I looked at each other then to Tara and back to Kat.
Colby- S-Sam left.
I could hear the pain and guilt in his voice when he spoke.
Corey- What do you mean he "left" where'd he go?
Colby- He m-moved back to Kansas.
Tara- W-What? Without saying goodbye
Devyn- W-What, w-why?
Tears brimmed Devyn and Kat's eyes.
Colby- W-We decided t-that it was best if we, uh- if we,
Colby got up and ran upstairs to his room and slammed the door.
Corey- What was that all about, what happened with him and Sam?
Jake- They uh, they broke up.
Kat- I feel so bad for them they were so great together.
Jake- Yeah, I know.
Kat- What about Stella?
Tara- Who is Stella?!
Kat- Wait you don't know?
Tara- Know what? I was busy and Im barely here. So who is she?
Jake- What time is the pizza coming im starving.
I quickly tried to change the subject. I had forgotten all about Tara and I meant to tell her about all this but I never got around to doing so and for some reason I dont feel bad, its like my feelings for Tara have....changed?
Tara- No no no dont try and change the subject who the fuck is Stella?!
Jake- I-......I can't do this Im sorry
I ran upstairs to Colby's room and knocked.
Colby- Go away!
Jake- Colby open the damn door!
For a moment there was silence until I heard the door knob click.
I opened the door and saw Colby on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest and his eyes were bloodshot.
Jake- Colby.
I walked over to him and sat down next to him.
Jake- You have to be strong, and not only for yourself, but for Sam and Stella, we will get them back.
Colby- I-I never knew Brennen was like that, I never knew what he was capable of. I didn't think he would do something like this. All because of something that happened a long time ago between us.
Jake- What happened?
Flashback

Brennen- Hey Colby can I talk to you for a sec?
Colby- Sure Brennen.
We walked into his living room and sat down next to each other on the couch.
Colby- So what-
I was cut of when Brennen connected his lips with mine.
I pushed him away and yelled at him.
Colby- Brennen what the fuck?!
Brennen- I want to be more than friends Colby, I can't handle be just friends with you.
Colby- I-I'm sorry Brennen but I just don't like you that way.
Brennen- Why the hell not?!
Colby- B-Because I'm in love with someone else.
Brennen- It's Sam Isn't it?
I sighed and looked down. It was Sam and it had always been Sam, I fell in love with him the moment I laid eyes on him. I guess you could say it was love at first sight.
Brennen- I knew it.
Colby- I-I'm sorry-
Brennen- Don't be, go to him.
Colby- R-Really?
Brennen- Yeah, go get your mans.
Colby- Thanks man.
Brennen- No problem

Colby- He told me he had gotten over it, it's been a year, and I never knew that him and Stella were step siblings.
Jake- Did you ever meet his parents?
Colby- No why?
Jake- They might know where he's taken them.
Colby- How so?
Jake- They all hated Stella and they always showed her step siblings more love, for all we know they could be helping him.
Colby- I just hope we can finish Brennen's little game so we can get them back.
Jake- So do I.
Just then my phone dingged.
Jake- It's a text message from Brennen.
I opened it and the message read:
Brennen: For your first task, you both will go downstairs and tell the others that you two are dating and they won't believe it so you'll have to "reeeally prove it to them" if you know what I mean. You have 6 minutes to complete the task, fail and pain will come to Stella and Sam. I'll be watching.
Colby and I looked at each other and sighed.
Jake- Ok let's get this over with.
