March, 1991, Katey age 10...
"Say, Katey." Nine year old Ginny Weasley addressed her best friend, looking up from her book report book at recess one sunny mildly chilly spring day in mid March. The weather was absolutely perfect. The two friends were sitting down in a grassy bank near a lakelette.

"Say what?" Ten year old Katey looked up from the research paper that she was working on, for the

"Did you hear that Parkingston had a cousin?"

"You're putting me on, little sister."

"No, I'm not. Her name is Rosemary Davingstone." Katey fell silent at the declaration, going back to her research paper.

"Say, Gin?" She asked, after ten minutes of silence.

"Say what?" This time it was Ginny's turn to look at her friend in amusement.

"Parkingston's cousin, what's her name-"

"Rosemary Davingstone?"

"Yeah, her. Anyways, what's she like?"

"She's actually quite nice. There she is now." Ginny said as a girl with golden brown hair and intelligent, Caribbean blue eyes came walking towards them, a book in her hands.

"Hey, it's Ginny, right?"

"Yeah. Ginny Weasley."

"Katey Potter. Pleased to meet you."

"You as well." The girl smiled. "I'm Rosemary Davingstone by the way, Samantha cousin."

"I don't recall ever seeing you around before." Katey remarked.

"Oh, yeah. Father took me, mother, Arthur, Emmaline, and Susanna with him to the States."

"Your brother and sisters?" Ginny asked.

"Yes. Art and Emma are 12, they'll be third years next year and Sue is 11, she'll be a second year next year. Then my youngest sister Hannah, is four and will be five in August."

"So, what were you guys doing in the states?"

"Oh, Father was an ambassador for the ministry. He and mother died a few weeks ago, Aunt Adelaide and Uncle Joseph well, they took us in. Aunt Adelaide was Mother's younger sister, Father had no siblings so we had to move back here."

"I'm sorry to hear about your parents." Katey said.

"Thank you." Rosemary nodded. "Sammy and I were really close when we were younger. She wasn't like this before we left for the states, when I was four. But now, well, she's not the same person that she was."

"Why, whatever do you mean, Runt?" Samantha asked.

"You?!" Katey scowled.

"Me." Confirmed the bully.

"I thought that Professor Williamstone and Professor Lupin told you to stay away from us?" Ginny asked.

"Obviously, I didn't listen." Smirked the bully.

"Get out of here." Katey ordered.

"No. I'd rather make fun of you."

"See? That's exactly what I mean, Sam. You're a bully now. And you promised me to not become a bully."

"And you promised to write." She shot back. "I guess none of us kept our promises."

"What do you want?" Katey asked.

"Only to return this." She tossed the ruined sketch book that he had stolen from Katey the other day at recess on the ground at the girls feet.

"My Sketchbook!" Katey cried in dismay. Tears came to her eyes as she took in the now ruined sight of her beloved sketchbook. "Y-You destoryed my sketchbook." Katey knelt down and examined the now ruined sight that had been her sketchbook. She gingerly picked it up and fingered the burnt and water stained pages of her drawings.
