Narrator's POV:

As an alternative from yesterday, Joe awoke on his own. The crisp white bed sheets that were crinkled beneath him creating a welcomed platform for him to continue resting on. But due to the absence of his girl, and the smell of food being cooked form downstairs, Joe found himself clambering out from underneath the covers - throwing on a pair of his joggers and padding his way down the cold metal steps into his living room. With every step that he took, the sound of music and the out of tune singing that filled his apartment so early in the morning, graced his ears more and more.

Now throughout their time going out with each other, Joe had learnt that Dianne was wonderful at many things. She was creative, funny, bright in her own weird and wonderful way, and not to mention a breathtaking dancer. But one thing she had never quite been able to master was singing in tune to a song, whether it be some irritatingly catchy jingle from an old advert, or one of Whitney Houston's greatest hits, Di could never seem to find the right note. But none the less, Joe loved her all the same. If not more because of this, and her many other, cute little quirks.

As he walked into the kitchen, Joe touched Diannes shoulders as she stood there focusing on something - causing her to jump slightly at the contact they found themselves in. Joe heard her sharp intake of breath as he pressed his body firmly onto her back. "Hey google!" He yelled as he moved her hair off of her shoulders, before pressing a light kiss to the skin just behind her ear. "Play this years love!" He continued to yell towards the tin shaped unit next to the microwave. As the graceful music began to play, a flood of memories swarmed into both Joe and Diannes heads, and their hearts as they revelled in the joy that this song had given them all those months ago. Swivelling herself around so that she cold look into Joe's eyes, Dianne wrapped her arms around Joe's long, slender neck - always her favourite feature of his - as Joe's arms made their way around her body. The soft pads of his fingers pressing onto the skin on the small of her back where her shirt had ridden up in the process of hugging him. Continuing to listen to the music, the pair of them began to sway from side to side, graciously holding each other with nothing but loving smiles on their faces.

"Morning little one" Di whispered softly as she continued to look at Joe with nothing but love and admiration for the man who had manged to waltz into her life. "Morning Di" Joe replied softly, unable to hide the huge smile on his face. "Someone's in a good mood this morning." Dianne said sarcastically, noting the instant amount of joy that her boyfriend had manged to bring into the room with him. "Well you would be too if you had a girl like you in your arms." Joe quipped back, chuckling slightly as he noticed the pink flush of Dianne's skin rise up her neck onto her cheeks. "How did you sleep last night?" He questioned, smirking slightly as a reminder of what happened last night after dinner. Their activities last night had ended up bringing satisfaction to Joe and Dianne in more way than one. As documented a few moths ago, the two of them had struggled to connect in such a physical way ever since Dianne spent that night with Anthony. But after last night, both of them took satisfaction mentally in knowing that they had made it through their turmoil, and had made it out together - their heads held high, and their admiration for each other higher still.

"I think you know how it was Joseph." Dianne replied coyly, unable to hide the smirk on her own features. As the two of them continued to sway to the music, Joe took the opportunity to kiss his girlfriend - gently pressing his lips onto hers, moving his left hand off of her back and onto her jaw, unable to help but smile into her lips as he felt the indent of the dimple on her cheek with his finger. As he pulled away he watched as Dianne's eyelids delicately fluttered open, almost as if that kiss had put her in some sort of daze. "What was that for?" she questioned. "Just my way of telling you that I love you. And that I'm hungry." Joe confessed. "Alright calm down Joseph, it's only half eight in the morning!" Dianne replied cheekily. "Not in that way." Joe replied, rolling his eyes at the way in which Dianne had manged to twist his words in such a provocative way. "Unless....?" He suggested with a smirk and a raise of his eyebrows. "NO!" Dianne retorted back sharply, wiping away the smirk on her boyfriends face.
